My family is thinking of making a trip in December, and I just heard about the potential free dining offer then. We are Florida residents, and have bought the Florida Resident Seasonal Passes in the past. Right now we don't have passes.
My idea, if free dining is available when we go, is to book a five day MYW package, either a family suite or two rooms in a value resort, then upgrade our tickets to Florida Resident Seasonal AP passes at the park. Would we be able to do this?
When I run the numbers it looks to be about the same price if I buy seasonal passes and then book room only, or if I book the whole MYW package on the Disney website. Would the prices for the rooms change (and be higher) if the free dining offer materializes? We've never done the dining plan before, and are wondering if it would be a good deal for our big family. (We have three teenagers and a 5 yr old.)
Thank you!
