Finding the anteater at AK

I have perhaps an unusual question, but I couldn't think of anyone else that could answer this . Long story short, my husband would really like to see the anteater during our upcoming trip to AK in November. We saw him/her during our honeymoon 10 years ago and though we have tried to see the anteater on several trips since then, we've never been successful. Any tips/suggestions? We know he/she is still around based on a video my husband found from the end of 2020 (as I said, he is really enthusiastic about this lol). Thank you!

Haha I'm glad mine isn't the only one! He is pretty against the new Genie+/ILL changes but I think he would pay for an ILL just to see the anteater again

This is from December of last year but if I remember correctly the anteater was on the left side of the left pathway walking into the park. if all else fails there is usually caretakers floating around that area to help locate animals.

2 pm! There are 2 anteaters- Annie and Tilly, and this is when they switch shifts. An AK CM shared this with me just last week.

Last time I saw the anteater they were towards the front of the park

The only animal we have ever seen was the hippos at AK during the Safari. Took the safari ride twice and waited over an hour each time to see NOTHING. LMAO!!!!!!!! Would love to see an anteater.

The anteater is still in that enclosure along the left hand path, shortly after you pass the GS at DAK entrance. Tends to rest towards the back of the enclosure, behind the large pile of rocks. It is hit or miss as to seeing the anteater active and walking about. We've seen it walking around, enjoying treats, and easily visible a few times. But most days all we can see is a tuft of fur through the foliage. As with most of the animals, you might have better luck if you look for them to be active early in the day and when the weather is cooler.
