Every time we go to WDW I try to find a new experience to try. So far we've done the following. I'm having trouble coming up with something new for this trip. Any suggestions?

EPCOT: Passports, Kidcot Fun Stops
MK: MNSSHP, Wishes Dessert Party
DTD: Quest

In August we did the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage - so much fun. We got to meet Capt Hook and Smee before the boat - while eating snacks. Our Captain on the boat was fantastic - so much fun plus you get to see the fireworks.

Have you done mini-golf? Both courses? Trail rides? Bass fishing? A backstage tour? Renting surrey bikes? The Luau at the Poly? The camp out at Fort Wilderness? Sticking the kids in a kids club for the evening and going out for a nice couples only dinner? High Tea at the Grand Floridian? That balloon thing at DTD? Cirque du Soleil? The Hoop de Do Revue? Watching a movie on the pool/beach (resort specific)? Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom? A hidden Mickey hunt?

To suggest a few.

If you have the time --- at Wilderness Lodge you can go to the stables and visit the horses.

My daughter loves the wilderness explorer badges at AK. We also like to take some time to explore Tom Sawyer island and enjoy the nighttime movies at the resorts

We are planning on letting each kid collect two pressed pennies a day next trip.

What are the ages of those in your group? Last trip, my kids enjoyed doing scavenger hunts in MK - dh found them on the internet. Also, my dd had purchased a copy of the Disney Encyclopedia of Animated Characters. It requires a backpack to tote it around, but she has had so much fun collecting autographs in it! (This is saying something as she has been going to WDW multiple times a year since she was itty bitty and has at least 3 full autograph books!!!) My younger children (ages 12 and 14) have played the Sorcerers of the Kingdom and Pirate's Adventure a number of times. (I can't say that they're really into it, but it's something to occupy busy afternoon hours when they don't feel like standing in lines.) Years ago, we had silhouettes cut of the children. They really were quite good. A first night tradition for us is to close MK and enjoy a fresh ice cream-cookie sandwich from Plaza Ice Cream as we slowly make our way down Main Street. Our whole family enjoys renting Sea Raycer's - 2 to a boat and must be 12 to drive. Lots of fun! At all the parks, we enjoy trying whatever the newest snacks are. At Epcot, we are looking forward to checking out the new entertainment options. (Still sad to see some of the old ones go.) At DTD, we like to wander around in the evenings, listening to all the musicians. As well, we always take time to enjoy a movie at DTD. (The movie theater in our hometown, while quite large, is not very nice.) The kids always enjoy a wander around the Lego store and still enjoy purchasing Lego figures. I can't wait to read what other ideas get posted, as we always are looking for something different, too.

If you have the time --- at Wilderness Lodge you can go to the stables and visit the horses.

Actually that would be Fort Wilderness.....a quick boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge. But I agree - my DD's love the ponies and big horses on display there.

Ever tried focusing on the live entertainment acts in World Showcase? If that would be "new", it's a worthwhile option.

(Yes, folks, I do realize there's less of it than there used to be!)

when was the last time you were at WDW have you seen all the new expansion areas in the MK

there are a few new live acts in Epcot you can check out also

These are all great suggestions! You may have helped me for the next few years!

So it's been 3 years since we've been to WDW. We have been experiencing Disney on the high seas the last two years.

Dh, me and Three Kids (13, 8, 7)

I have checked out the live entertainment at World Showcase. I agree, you can't miss some of those amazing acts! Some of our favorites are in China.

Thanks again!
**I should note we already do pin trading and vinylmation trading.

Your two little ones might enjoy the Pirate Adventure (kids only) that sets sail from Beach Club and Caribbean Beach. They go on a treasure hunt, "get attacked" by pirates on jet skis, have a snack on an island and chase off pirates at the dock that try to steal their treasure.

Our new things this upcoming trip will be...

Boatwrights for Dinner
Yeehaw Bob's show
Ragland Road
Flower & Garden Festival

Have you visited EVERY single attraction property wide? I have been going since 1971 and finally made it to Tom Sawyer Island just last year. I'd think about it, but get distracted by something else (usually BTMRR) and just never made it there. OK, it's no 7DMT, but it was fun and it was new to me. So think about attractions that you might have been passing by because they weren't on your "must do" list that maybe you have never visited.

I also do theme days sometimes. Like going to MK and only going in attractions that were open in the 70's, or going to Epcot with the intention of eating or drinking something from each country. Maybe think up a scavenger hunt for each park (which could also be tied to a theme).

I don't know the ages of your kids, but my 16, 13, and 9 year old (at time of trip) LOVED the Hoop De Doo musical review at Ft Wilderness. My 13 year old said that was his favorite thing of the trip. They also enjoyed the sea racers and horseback riding.

On our last trip, for the first time we watched the Electrical Water Pageant from the Poly beach, and we really enjoyed that. And we haven't done it yet, but I've heard that the Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Fort Wilderness is fun.

Hoop Dee Doo Review - Fort Wilderness Campgrounds
Pick a Pearl - Japan, Epcot
Water Parks - Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon
Sum of All Thrills - Epcot
7 Dwarfs Mine Ride - MK

Two things I tried last trip:

One Man's Dream (at DHS). Might not be of huge interest to your kids, given their ages, but I found it fascinating! You learn a lot about Walt Disney's life.

And Animation Academy at DHS. I bet your kids would get a kick out of it, and it's free! Just bring a paper towel tube to put your drawings in after the class.

We always try to eat somewhere new. Also on our next trip we will be doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and MNSSHP:) so excited!
