I know that if I'm in the MK and want to find out what TS resturant (if any) is available for lunch that day, I can go to City Hall. Is there any other way I can find out, or do I have to either go to City Hall or all the resturants? Suppose I'm in Frontierland, for example, and want to eat lunch at a TS resturant. I really don't want to walk all the way to City Hall. If I go to the nearest resturant can they check availability at the other resturants? Like, can I stop at LTT, and if they're not available, will they check the Plaza, GFC, Kona, etc. for me? Or can I call Disney DIning (and can I do that even from a store if I don't have my cell phone with me)?

Dial *86 from any pay phone on property & you will be connected to Disney Dining. It's worked for us in the past when we were in Toontown & didn't feel like walking all the way to Crystal Palace!

I have 407 WDW DINE programmed into my cell phone. ;)

I don't need it programmed into the phone, it's programmed into my brain :rotfl:

I've been know to call dining as I headed to the bus :rolleyes1 Also been know to tell DD14 to call dining as we're headed to the bus

On our last trip, our flight was delayed and we missed what should have been an easy reservation to make. We checked at the front desk of our hotel and they were able to check for us. I think they were able to get us in later. We called the dining number, and they had nothing. So, we decided to check at the restaurant, and if they couldn't get us in, we would take the later reservation the front desk got us. When we walked up, they got us in, so we cancelled the later one. You just never know!

You can call 1-407-wdw-dine or you can go to the podium at any TS restaurant to check availability for any other ts restaurant.

Thanks everyone. Although I've never done it before, on an upcoming trip, I don't have any ADR for my MK day. I'm just going to wait until that day and see what I can get into. At least it will be for lunch, so I should get something.

Don't count on getting into a TS at MK day of. There are only 5 choices there and they will get filled. We were there the week after Thanksgiving last year and although the parks were mostly empty, there were signs up by the entrance that there are no TS available that day.

Thanks-I won't hold out too much hope in the park. Fortunately, one of my choices is Grand Floridian Cafe, which I hope I have a decent chance of same day.
