Finding Nemo Sub Ride LINE!!!

Thanks for the photos. We're certainly waiting a while before tackling that line! We were there on Sunday, but stayed far away from Tomorrowland. DD did get her picture taken by some members of the Japanese media. They gave her a set of pixie dust pins. Too bad there wasn't a Nemo ride too!

uh, Splash ~ 70 min.
Buzz ~ 40 min.
Space ~ 60 min.

thats all i know :P

Wow, if there was ever a 10 day period to closely follow (or commit to memory) Hydroguy's Tips on how to enjoy DLR during the busy Summer months (mostly by getting there early & by effectively using FP)

.....this would be the 10 day period. ::yes::

That amazes me! If I had to wait in line for six hours, I would have to bring a chair and maybe a portable DVD player.. a cooler full of drinks/ snacks...

I mean how do people go to the bathroom and find their way back in line?!? That is incredible.

Definitely do not chug Diet Cokes before attempting a line like this!

Yup, I think so. I just went and read it over again (that and the avoiding long lines one). We plan on doing it. Only thing is we will be there on a weekend day (Saturday). Guess all we can do is the best we can, and my fingers are still crossed that today was the worst because it was opening day. One can hope right? :confused3

This evening we were hearing that the line was still 3 1/2 hours long. The scary part was just before fireworks started, when they detour everybody from Fantasyland around the Matterhorn to exit to Main Street. You aren't allowed to go through the castle or out by Alice in Wonderland. So the exit is on the other side of the Matterhorn -- Nemo lines on one side, Matterhorn line on the other, along with a temporary stage near Nemo. It was wall-to-wall humanity. Very unsafe. We had a stroller and my DS was getting a little freaked out by the crush of the crowd. And no cast members for crowd control... Luckily, we got out before the fireworks started and beat the crush on the trams.
Buzz Lightyear was 20 minutes, Casey Jr. 10 minutes. We found seats for the parade without trouble at the last minute.
Avoid Tomorrowland if you can, and exit Fantasyland either through Frontierland or by taking the train around to Main St. (in the evening when it's getting close to fireworks time).

I hope that the lines get a little bit less crazy by the time we go. I would hate to go and have to skip it because of the line. My husband doesn't have the patience for super long lines. I do though!

Things will settle down over the next few weeks. Yesterday Monday will likely be the worst, and today and the next two Sundays will also be very crowded on Nemo and around the parks. Remember that most of the crush of people right now are local AP holders who are die hards who can dedicate many hours to this one ride because they can come back anytime for the others. When there are blackout days for the local AP holders then the crowds will subside to a more normal level - but Nemo will remain busy all summer much like Space Mtn did in 2005.

I'm going in August, and I had pretty much resigned myself to skipping Nemo for this trip...but I just hope I can get on Space Mtn several times. It was down for refurb for my 1st visit (2003), and then I only rode it twice :sad1: on my 2nd trip in 2005 (long lines, breakdowns), so this time I was really looking forward to saturating myself in space! Unfortunately, because of its close proximity to Nemo, I suspect SM will be hammered by visitors all summer as well. Darn!:sad2:

Went on June 9th. They had a non-advertised public preview. So not too many people in the park knew about it until they walked by it. I got in line at 11:45AM, started my timer on my phone and I got in the sub only 50 minutes later!
BTMRR being closed at 11:30AM was a blessing. It gave me 90 min of free time on my Ridemax itinerary.
We felt pretty good on getting in on the preview and waiting less than an hour for a ride thats gonna be packed all summer.

Thank you for posting the photos. I woke up early so that I could get an early start to Disneyland today. I think I will wait until next week so that I can try out the new segway tour at DCA instead.

Not to derail this thread but, "What Segway Tour? When? Where? How do I sign up???" That was one of my favorite things to do in Epcot. You can PM me Tink, if you don't want to continue to derail this thread;)

6 Hours is crazy! I am afraid on my trip next month, I guess I am gonna have to beat rope drop and run straight there. That is my only chance.

My guess it's going to continue to be around a 3 hour wait until the summer ends. Ohhh well I will attempt to ride it next week when we go either on Monday or Wendesday, try to get there towards the end of the day and just wait it out.

I hope the wait time dies off when we will be there, I will be really bummed out if I don't get to ride it. We will be there in September.

The line might be longer than it looks . . . if you're a family of 4, I'm sure one person will stay in line while the others go to rides, parades, & shows. Then those people come back in line when the person holding the spot moves up. What you see in those pics may actually be one quarter of the people who are actually going to ride.

Um, you've got a good point and this is no offense to you, but if I'm waiting for hours in that line? I'm NOT going to be in a Disney mood if a family tries to reunite mid-queue in front of me so that half of them can enjoy the park all afternoon. Just being honest. I don't know if that flies at Disneyland, but I KNOW it wouldn't work in Disney World.

We were at Space Mountain two years ago for the relaunch, and that's what these Nemo line reports remind me of. The line for SM reached further than we could see from the upper level of the queue, and the amazing thing was that the line for FAST PASSES was just as long!

How long do you think these mutli-hour lines will continue for nemo? Im going on Oct. 26th (friday) for Mickeys Halloween Treat, and thinking of stopping in DL before, do you think the lines will still be crazy?
