We are taking our DD3 (who will be celebrating her 4th birthday) for her first Disney trip in September. She is not a typical girl who loves princesses. Her favorite characters are the more villainous type. She loves the Queen of Hearts, Gaston, and any other "scary guy" as she puts it. She also adores the Beast. Any tips or advice on how and where to meet these characters would be greatly appreciated!!! :maleficen

If you will be visiting after the 11th, go to the halloween party! All the villains come out for that. It is well worth the money especially for a villain girl! ;)

As for beast, he can be found every day in France (Epcot). His line can be VERY long though, so plan accordingly.

Agree with Raenstoirm. For what you want, the Halloween party is where it's at. Beast is usually there too. :thumbsup2

Be aware that the lines for the characters at the Halloween party are ridiculously long.. at least they were when we went last year in Sept. Like the others said, you can see Beast along with Beauty in France/Epcot. We met him last time with very little wait, but we happened to be walking past right before he came out. There's a sign posted at the meet and greet spot with his times.

It's not meeting them but there are villians in the MK parade - my DD does not like them and actually hides behind me when Jafar goes by!

Gaston can be seen (but not met) in the Beauty and the Beast show in DHS.

Finally keep your eyes open sometimes they'll hold impromptu meet/ greets in certain locations and you'll luck into some rare characters - I know we've had this happen a couple of times in Epcot over in WS.

Oh my goodness, thank y'all sooo much! I was unaware of the Halloween Party being so early in September! We were planning on arriving on September 5th and leaving on the 12th, but we would soooooo be willing to arrive later in order to make it to the Halloween Party. Does anyone know how much the tickets are or where I can find out more info about the MNSSHP?? Any perks for the MNSSHP if you're a Disney Visa card holder? Thanks so much for the great info and we will definitely be visiting the Beast in France! Thanks!!!:thumbsup2

You would have to arrive later, I believe. It didn't start till 09/13 last year. They have them on Tuesday and Friday nights. Tuesday seems to be a little less crowded but it's still a very popular night. Avoid dates closer to Halloween because they get more crowded as it gets closer. You can see the past ticket prices at this link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

It's a separate ticketed event - not included in your park pass. And no, there are no perks for Disney Visa card holders at Disney World. I think there's something (maybe a slight discount) for Disney Land, but nothing for Disney World unfortunately unless something changes this year.

They start selling the tickets closer to time, so you won't be able to buy them yet.

If you can hold off booking for a few weeks, official MNSSHP data tends to come out mid April with tickets going on sale around May 1. The tickets will cost you a pretty penny though. Adults are just under $60 and kids just over $50 per party. Well worth it though! Dh and I go at least 2 times per year and we prefer to go to three just so we can see it all! But free dining has come out for your dates, so you can save a little money there. :thumbsup2

All signs indicate the MNSSHP will start on the 11th -

We went in August we met The Snow Queen, The Queen of Hearts, Jafar, Captain Hook and Smee at the Characterpalooza (we went twice).

As PP's have said, your best bet to be guaranteed some less frequent characters is MNSSHP. You can meet with a bunch of villains after their show (no autographs), and some other random ones come out. Abu, Genie, the Country Bears, Halloween costumes on the normal characters, etc.

Characterpalooza is also a good bet to meet some random ones, you just need to be in the DHS Animation Building on nights they don't have an early F!.

And there is always the chance you luck out and stumble onto character training, but that is completely unannounced and really open happens when a new bunch of characters is brought on board.

At the Halloween party, there is a villians show on the stage in front of the castle. After the show, the villians come down for a meet and greet - didn't see any photopass photographers for that, but people were taking their own pictures.

I read somewhere that Gaston is showing up or will be showing up in France at Epcot sooner or later.

The Villians Mix & Mingle at the Halloween party is a another option. But I don't know if the QOH shows up for that one.

Some villains show up at random in random places. I was in Toontown once and met Maleficent nearby. Just keep an eye out and you may run into one.

Gaston did make a couple of appearances last fall at Epcot, in preparation for MNSSHP. Unfortunately, he hasn't been spotted since the parties concluded.

There are numerous rumors that the character will be included with the expansion - HOWEVER - I have seen nothing from a reputable source.
