ACTUALLY...I've read (here on these boards) that most faxes are being discarded, not even read. They've been getting so many requests by faxes that they can't/don't have the the time to read through them all and apply them to each persons reservation.
sorry I can't be more help - but I just wanted to pass that tidbit along...if I can find the thread that mentioned this...I'll pass it along.
there was a thread recently from a CM about faxing requests that said that unless the resort has concierge not to bother faxing requests because they do not consider them otherwise. They apparently just toss them away. He said your best bet is to put in your requests with CRO and also ask again for them when checking in.

His particular resort (which BTW he did not identify) may very well toss away all faxes as it is a DVC resort or WL and they don't accept faxed requests any longer. But the other Disney resorts still do.
Not sure if when you say "his particular resort" you are talking about the CM who had written the thread I had read or the OP but either way -- the OP was asking about faxing ASMo or POP and the CM that wrote the thread had said that all the resorts that do not have concierge, for what ever reason, do not pay any mind to the faxed requests because they receive way too many of them or something like that and that you have a much better chance of getting your requests granted by just putting them in with CRO when you book and asking again while checking in. ASMo and POP are value resorts and do not have concierge so I thought I'd pass the info. I had read on. I don't think this CM worked in a DVC resort but one of the regular WDW resorts. Although I could be wrong, it was just a few weeks ago that I had read this thread. In any case, I think the screen name of the CM who wrote the thread was CMboy or something similar. If you do a search and can find the thread, it was very informative. I do remember it was entitled "How to get what you want"
