Finding Dopey

I have done the search and looked over at Steve's Soares site and can't find Dopey listed anywhere for a charcters greeting. Does anyone know where we can find him?

We saw him in the front of MK...right past the train station last July. Don't know if this is a normal spot though.

I seem to see him primarily with Snow White at EPCOT's Germany pavillion.

My DD is a HUGE Dopey fan. We've been to WDW 4 times and we try to hunt him down everytime. We've seen him on one trip... March 2005. The first place we saw him was on the DCL cruise and we actually saw him several times then. She was Our very first day off the cruise we went to MK and all seven dwarves were standing out front. We caught him again out front that same trip a few days later. We've looked often in Germany at EPCOT but haven't been able to find him there.

We are going on another crusie in Sept 06 and are hoping to find Dopey again. I've heard that the special parties such as MNSSHP and MVMCP are also great times to find those harder to find characters though we didn't find him at MVMCP... but did see Snow White and Prince Charming.

We saw him with Snow White at MGM last year. Right at the entrance in the middle of the day.

We saw him in MK last June just as you pass under the train station to your right under the covered awning.

We also saw him switching off with Snow White in Germany that same trip.

Hope you can find him.

Surprisingly, we saw him in Town Square last year. We're so disappointed he's not at any character meals any more. Does any one else remember when he used to be at the character breakfast at the GF about 5 years ago. Don't know why he was discontinued.

We've seen him twice....once right before the entrance to MK and once in front of Tony's Rest. in MK. Good luck!

I don't remember who I got it from originally, but I have an Excel spreadsheet that lists all the characters and where they might be found in the parks/resorts, etc. If you're interested, PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

Incidentally, the spreadsheet only lists "Dwarfs" and not Dopey particularly, but I understand that Dopey is the easiest of the seven to find.

So, I guess I'm updating this thread.
I really really want to see Dopey. I've never seen him out in the parks before in my life and this is my 10th trip to WDW so it would be great if I could find him because it would make it more special.
Has Dopey become any more common perhaps?
Any great spots to find him?

you might try at the Studios around 4:15 at the Hat. He shows up there from time to time.

I know we saw Dopey in Sept., but I just can't remember where. And in 2005 we saw him with Snow White at the Germany pavilion in EPCOT, as others have written (see the pic in my sig).

Since you want to see Dopey so badly, why don't you ask some of the wranglers for the other characters. They might be able to give you an idea where, and maybe when, you might be able to find Dopey.

You can ask at any of the Time boards or at Guest Services, they can tell you when and where Dopey will be and what time.

We seen him 2 weeks ago, just inside the entrance to MK.

We've seen him, and I feel like more than once, at the entrance to the closed ride to the left of IASW, the skyway gondolaish thingie that used to travel over MK. So that's not my best Disneyphile description, try to your right as you walk from IASW/Peter Pan down toward Columbia Harbor House/Haunted Mansion.

What was that skyway gondolaish thingie called, anyway?

This past week, our group saw Dopey on two different days at the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. He was meeting with Snow White. They seemed to be alternating with Chip and Dale. This location is VERY sporatically used, though! There is no rhyme or reason to when it's used! And it may be used as an alternate meeting location for Germany, as maybe the food and wine festival was taking up too much sidewalk space or something? But Dopey was indeed there this week. I haven't seen him much on recent trips, so it was nice to greet him again!
