We will be attending a family reunion in a small town this summer. We're on a tight budget right now, and the only major hotels I've found are really pricey for the weekend we'll be there. I'm looking into finding a bed & breakfast in the area. Since it's a small town I think we may be able to get a room at a small B&B for less than staying at a hotel. I've already found a few possible B&Bs, but I'm wondering if anyone has tips on determining how clean & comfortable these B&Bs actually are. I've relied on Trip Advisor for reviews of large chain hotels & resorts, but is there a better place to research B&Bs?

Do you family members have any recommendations? If they live in the area, they might be able to point you in a direction to look.

Do you know any one that travels there??

My aunt did a reunion at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's a small little town in the Ozark Mountains, but a very big tourist industry is there. There's a dozen B&B for every hotel. My aunt reserved a block of rooms for the reunion, and each family member called to book and pay for it.

Maybe you can contact one of the hotels for a discount rate if so many of your family members book a room as well.

I would check out tripadvisor.com, put in the name of the city and search for hotels. You can read people's comments on the different bed and breakfasts

i ALWAYS check a hotel on tripadvisor. rarely have i been disappointed/surprised.
