We're all feeling slightly better, thanks. Still no appetite, though(that's not such a bad thing for me). DD has the most aches and pains. Still trying to decide about going to work tomorrow. If it was up to me, I'd say stay home. She feels that since she's new at this place, she doesn't want to take off any additional days.

I'm glad to hear you are all a bit better  I think it would be best if DD stayed home too...I understand she doesn't want to let them down but she may risk getting others sick by going in

That was one of her original concerns. They don't seem to have a problem with it, which bothers me the more I think about it. Since she started there, there have been a few employees who have come in with different illnesses. They were never asked to leave. Most places are so short-handed, that they are willing to take a chance rather than have less workers available.

I hope everything is ok, snow. I guess I will speak with you tomorrow. Feel better!!

Did you end up seeing a good movie today?

Are you sticking with ham or did you decide on something else?
Semi veg or veg ain't bad, even if for more than a day. Just ask DD.

We saw Bedtime Stories, and it was very cute.
We had free passes for two, but they wouldn't let us use them because it was the first week of the movie. DH was annoyed by that. But, we saw the movie anyway, and it was enjoyable.

Snow I was just catching up and then when I hit the end you leave.

That happens to me all the time!:scared1:

Everywhere seems to be shorthanded. We frequently don't have substitutes. Sometimes if you call in sick, they despair on the phone, "Oh, we don't have any subs, do you think you can take a half day?" Not that I ever call in sick, but I hear stories. Not that they reward good attendance either.... we used to get a 300 dollar bonus, which was motivational. We lost that in the last contract.

I am glad the Hara's are all starting to feel better.

Did DD find a netflix to watch?

I love your siggy, Hara!:thumbsup2

I decided on pulled pork for tomorrow
bye bye semi veg!

I cooked it all eveing in the slow cooker
it is a HUGE roast

DH just cut it up a bit to make sure it was cooking through
tomorrow we will shred it

I also got a spiral ham
because my family will stay for multiple meals
figure I can do scalloped potatoes with that Saturday

and I have meatballs and sauce as a backup for sunday if there are still lurkers in my house

Ds went to see Twilight with girlfriend and her mom and sister
it was only playing at 9:05
he is not home yet, it is 11:43
and I am getting tired!

I got all the food prep done today
casseroles ready to bake
taco dip and big veggie tray
tossed salad and rolls

tomorrow
pull the pork
and bake casseroles

simple enough eh?

Well tomorrow my dog is going to have the surgery. He has to be there at 8 or 8:30 but we have to wake up earlier than that.

I have big plans for all the was40s to pitch in
and clean up this place before company arrives

the kids like to "help" clean
but they like $$$$ for their efforts

yes!
Isn't it late for you, too?
or are you a night owl always?;)

Not that late, it is only 10:47 so not to late. No not always. But last night I stayed up till 3AM!:scared1: That was to late for me. My sister and I were playing Monpoly on the Wii, and before that I was talking to my friends.

We were up late too, New Years Eve
and then we slept in, so I am not really tired yet
but it is going to be hard to get back into the school routine
especially with my brothers coming tomorrow
with houseguests no one gets enough sleep
the cousins will have tons of fun
but the adults will be pooped

DS is home now
he said I would have liked the movie
and that it was pretty good
DS never gets too excited about anything
so that is a good review for him;)

I am going to start the nightly clean up
get ready for bed routine
and I want to read my book a bit
Vanishing Acts
in bed........
and let DH turn off the light!:lmao:
