Got my Nikon back... some of you may remember me having issues with the flash not functioning, not even forced function. I tried taking it apart and checking to see if the wire had come loose (someone posted a link to a video of how to do this I guess its pretty common in this camera) that didnt solve the problem so I broke down and sent it out for repair.

I shipped it out Nov 30, was able to verify delivery confirmation that it was signed for in Melville, NY on Dec 2. Then I waited.

Dec 14th they finally signed it into their system, after assuring me on the phone they were not back logged and turn around was 7-10 days.:sad2:

It came via UPS today, Im thankful to have it back before Christmas, I was going stir crazy with no camera!

This is great to hear! Did they ever tell you what was wrong? Probably not I'm guessing. It is great to have it back in time for Christmas.

Have fun!

Nope there was no explanation on the invoice they sent back. I can only assume they replaced the bulb in the flash.

My Canon had the same problem last summer. I keep it under an extended warranty from Sears. They actually just replaced the camera. I LOVE that Sears doesn't LIKE to fix cameras, so they just replace them!

I'm glad yours was able to be fixed though!
