Hello. I am finally going to write a trip report after several trips to Disney world!! I have been reading posts for years on the DIS, and never had the nerve to write my own.

Let me start by introducing myself, I'm a stay at home mom of 2 and I love to plan trips to Disney!! Every year we talk about going some where other than Disney World but we always end up going back. We always have such a great time!!
This year we are planning to stay @ the GF!! The only way we were able to this is because a family member was able to get us a CM discount! That saved us 40% off the rack rate. We usally stay @ a moderate hotel and always dream of being able to afford the GF but with this discount we are paying about the same as we would in prime season (which is when we usally go). Plus we got a really good deal from Air Tran ($120 each RT!) So we were on our way!!

The cast this year will be:
Myself- 36
DH- 39
DS- 10
DD- 4

We usally try to plan a Disney trip every year, sometimes it works out that we get to go 2 X's in a year since my DH's main office is based in Fla. so we will get an all expense trip on them.
It just so happens that this year we are going back in March for a work trip. It will be without the kids, so we can do what we want without having to worry about them. Believe me, will have plenty to do w/o them for 4days!!

Our last trip was June of 06" we usally go in the summer when it's HOT and CROWDED. We had a great time, and could not wait to go back. We didn't go this past summer and thought we could wait until next summer or during Spring break, but we couldn't. We really wanted to go during the holiday season. We have heard so much about how beautiful Disney is decorated at Christmas.
We have decided to take my DS out of school for a few days. It will run into his fall break so I figure he can't miss much. He started middle school this year. He does have more of a work load, but he can catch up pretty fast. As for my DD she is 4 and in pre-school and only goes every other day, she won't be missed.

Oh!! I forgot the most important part, this is going to be a suprise trip for my kids!! I have always wanted to do this. They have no clue!! I can't wait to wake them up the day we leave and suprise them with this trip!!
I have also had a bear of a time making ADR's. We usally plan trips 6 or more months ahead, so it's not a big deal. This time, we decided to go at the last minute and I only had 6 weeks to plan. I try to DIS every morning when the kids get on the bus. I find out about so many things to do and try that we haven't done before at Disney. I have changed our plans several times!
We have also decided to use the Disney transportation this time. I figured we are staying at a monorail hotel and it would be easy to hop on that to get around. We usally rent a car or drive our own. I don't like to rely on someone else to get me somewhere on time. I'm a little nervous about that, but I read about alot of people that use the buses and have no problem if you alow yourself a little extra time. So we will see. I have made alot of our ADR's around monerail so hopefully it won't be too bad.

My DD really does not remember our last trip, so I wanted to get ADR's for her to see the princesses. Of course I could not get CRT ADR's (who can?), but we do have Akershus lunch and 1900 PF dinner. So I'm fine with that. My son will love to go to all the princess stuff!!Ha! But has had many trips before my DD was born and we did all the boy stuff for him and he has such great memories, so I'm sure he really wants her to have the same. Even though they are 7yrs apart, they are very close.
Well, I guess I will post our trip the first part of December when we get back.
I just can't wait!!
