I'm tired of watering, how about you? Do you like to water? or do you prefer the rain?

I like it when it rains sometimes, but not all the time cause then the weeds just grow and the toads come out.

We live in the same state? We have been getting tons of rain. What we could use is some :sunny: and some heat. My veggies are crying for warmth. The weeds, slugs and mosquitoes are loving this weather.

LOL mamu..the big rains have missed us...a trickle here and there, but no soaking rains. A wonderful day to curl up wiht a good book today.

Our weather hasn't been that great. It often looks like it's going to rain, but doesn't. My rainbarrel is empty! We haven't had a nice long stretch of sunny, warm days. Today though, it is hot, and incredibly humid. The kind of day that makes you feel like a wrung out washcloth, or like you're melting.

Update! We had quite the storm last night, lots of rain, wind, and noisy thunder boomers! Forecast calls for rain, off and on, all day today.

By looking out the window I can see that my trailing verbena (in containers) has taken a beating, but hopefully it will recover. I'll inspect it more thoroughly once I'm decent!

This should help to refill the rainbarrel! :umbrella:

Okay it can stop raining now. two days off... two days of rain.

Hey Nat!! :)

I'm glad you're back with us, I was getting worried about you! ::yes::

The weather has been pretty stinko lately, hasn't it! ::yes::

Yup it is cold. I have been busy in the yard. I took up the front yard (again) and put in a few bushes and I have grass growing!!!! I built another stone wall in the front and a new lttle garden in the side.

I put down a new floor in the kitchen (twice one linolium tile and now a wood style floor.) So I have been a little busy. I will try and get a few pictures of the front up soon.

I hate this rain but the lawn loves it, especially since I had unplugged the sprinkler system a week or two back and never reset it. Also, concerned about son as he is traveling with a DJ to different summer camps to entertain the little campers (NY, PA, NJ, CT and MA). And, being a mom, well you guys know, I still worry about him even though he is a big boy now. However, he is doing a lot of the driving and I would just be happier if the weather was nicer and then he could also get to enjoy the camps when they have down time. Right now he is in Hinsdale,MA, but that's the opposite side of the state from Mamu and Amid (otherwise I might ask you to check in on him for me. HA HA - He would love me for that!)

If no one else will ask, I will. Please tell, why did you do the kitchen floor twice? Was the linoleum tile one so bad that you couldn't stand it and had to do it over pronto?

I've watered my garden, vegetable, once so far this season. Every other time, like yesterday, I said, "if it doesn't rain tonight, I'm going to have to water." Sure enough, we did get some rain last night!

I have some cucumbers ready to pick!

We did get 1-warm sunny day. Saturday it reached 88-degrees. Today is another rainy day. This is good no sitting anyone today, DH is off to work, and Willy (the bird grandson) left last night.

Today is clean the house day. Organize my scrapbooking table, it's a mess, I pick-up the weekly sales and just dump the bag, then head outside. My craft room is a total mess. I frequently walk in, look at the chaos, walk out and say "I can't deal with you today, maybe tomorrow" The girls and I have been making Daisy Dolls. For such a little project, thats not so easy, it's added to the chaos of the room.

I am finished with the front for the summer. Tagged the plants that need to be moved. I'll return to this area in the fall. I'm very pleased with the results.

I will be working in the back getting it ready for the patio. I've decided to go with a natural stone colored brick patio and a natural colored stone 2-shades darker for wall. I think it blends in with the new deck. Sadly the magnolia must go it's right where the platform for the steps to the back are going. To big to move, with a teary eye I'll watch them cut it down.

Mamu, your brick and stone choices for your patio sound nice! Are you going to be doing this in the fall, or next spring? I hope you're going to have someone helping you????? Don't want to wreck your nails you know....;) :)

Sorry about the Magnolia, that will be sad, to see it go.

I have to ask, what are Daisy Dolls? :)

Bobbi, do you make dill pickles? :)

These are the dolls. Thought it would be a good summer project. Wrong! The pattern pieces are so small we need to hand-stitch the doll.

Dizzie Dolls

As far as the stone work goes I will be doing the work myself. I think! If my back holds out.

Mamu, they are very cute!!! :)

I love the big feet...lol...:)

I hope you can get someone to help you with the stone/brick work! Watch your back, okay?
