HI neighbor!
What a wonderful time to visit.

A few things you won't want to miss:

The "Candle Light Processional" at EPCOT, we missed it last year :(.

MVMCP aka "Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party" at the Magic Kingdom, great after hours party for an extra cost.

The "Osborne Family Light Festival" at MGM, don't miss this. We went after the late showing of FANTASMIC, they don't publicize it but they keep the Osborne lights open for the folks that stayed for the late show ofFANTASMIC, this way the crowds are smaller.

Have a Very Merry Disney Christmas!

Welcome home!!!!!

Definitely spend time resort hopping. Goto GF, WL, Poly, CB...etc. Check out each resort's Xmas decoration. It's really really good (and free). And then enjoy a good Xmas-themed dinner.

And go to the Bear Jamboree - the Xmas version. The bear dressed like Elvis and sing Xmas song.

I'm sure it'll be great. Have fun there.

Here's a link to the holiday events page of wdwig.com for you to check out. The MVMCP's last night this year is the 18th, but after that the MK stays open later and the holiday parade and shows run daily, so if you don't make it you'll still be able to see most of the stuff from the party. (You just won't get the free picture or cookies and cider!) Make sure you visit some of the resorts to see their decorations; WL and VWL have the most 'Christmasy' feel to me, but all the MK and Epcot reosrts go all out, as do most of the moderates.

First, don't listen to people who are bound to tell you that you're crazy to visit during Christmas. It's wonderful.

If it's like past years, starting with Christmas Day, Disney gives it's guest a "gift." All of the parks are open early every day from Christmas through New Year's Eve for Resort guests. Again, this isn't something that's guaranteed, but they've done it in the past and there's a chance it will be done this year. If they do this, that's the time to get to the parks.

Bring layers of clothes. The weather can be lovely, but it can be frigid as well. We packed gloves, and ear warmers, and they came in handy on some days.

Make meal reservations. The restaurants will be booked solid and walk-ins are impossible. As was suggested, do the Candlelight Processional. It's best if you purchase the CP package that includes preferred seating and a meal at one of Disney's Epcot restaurants. In past years, you also got 15% off of Epcot purchases on the day that you have your ticket.

Be prepared for Holiday menus (i.e., higher prices). As I recall, it was just on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Don't think that the MK will be too crowded on Christmas morning. We've been there twice on that day, and the park was empty. The crowds didn't arrive until early afternoon. We went to MGM once that happened, and the crowds were so light, we had no wait for TOT or RnR.

Since Disney is starting the 100th Birthday celebration, it's hard to predict what else might be happening.

You're going to have a great time!

Congratulations and welcome home!

Chirstmas is our favorite time to visit WDW! We are heading back 11/27 - 12/9 this year. So are a lot of other folks on the DIS...so you may want to check back a week or so before you go and ask if there was anything this year that's not to be missed. Everyone above has already noted the wonderful holiday shows and decorations. The Candle light processional at Epcot is so beautiful..really captures the true meaning of the christmas season. And the Osborne lights at MGM...all I can say is WOW! And, there is nothing like main street at the MK during the evening hours...simply beautiful!

Enjoy your DVC vacation.....

Congratulations and Welcome Home! It is also our favorite time to visit. I agree that the Candlelight Processional is not to be missed. We have seen it twice and the second show was just as exciting and moving as the first time. I recommend including it in a dinner package so you get the reserved seating. Last year they also gave out special lanyards and pins when you got your tickets. We always do the MVMCP also. It's magical to have it snowing on main street in the MK. And as has previously been stated, just going and looking at the resorts and their decorations, gingerbread creations, etc. is incredible. We did take the Magical Holidays Tour last year and were not as impressed. We are glad we took it but it wasn't one of the better tours we have done. You are very lucky to be visiting at the holidays, it is truly a special time of the year.
