What a trip! Captain Tom did a terrific job avoiding Frances. Warm and sunny everywhere we went... itinerary was changed, but no complains whats so ever. If we were adventurous enough, we would've stayed on the ship for two more days instead of getting off at Texas... but the thought of being stuck in Florida? No way! Although most folks on ship was thrill at the idea of 9 day cruise. All in all, it was the best trip ever. Anyone has any questions, do not hestitate to ask.

Was DCL charging any extra for folks that chose to stay on the ship for more days than they had planned to rather than getting off in Texas?

It's so amazing to me that they can just steer a giant ship right around that HUGE hurricane. Glad your family is safe and sound

No charge for extra days! Can you believe that? If the circumstances wasn't so bad, we would gladly take that offer! Disney will do anything to keep everyone happy! Extremely happy with them.

Sounds like Disney has been really great through all of this at WDW and on DCL. Good to know that in a disaster you can count on them. In the past, I have cruised RCI and have said that I would never cruise DCL because it's so much more expensive and I don't have kids who would benefit from 'most' of the perks. Now that I have seen what happens in a disaster and how they take care of their customers in comparison to other cruise lines I would definitely cruise DCL. Maybe I should write them a letter and tell them that They probably need to hear some positive things right about now.

How did you get back from Texas? Did you need to fly or rent a car? Welcome home! Glad to hear it all worked out!

We're from California, and were able to contact our TA the day before to arrange flight back home. DCL even waived our phone bill!
