In 8 hours I'll be off to pick up my daughter, finally! :) :smooth:

On a side note, I need a good book or two to read on the plane. Any suggestions? I'd prefer fiction over non-fiction.

That is great! Have a great trip! How long will you get to have her?:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Good luck! Have a safe trip!

I'm only reading some non-fiction manuals, nothing too interesting. Hope you get some good ideas.:sunny:

I was just going to post asking if today was the day!!

Yeah daddy....have a nice flight and squeeze your baby girl tight!!!!:wave2:

My favorites are generally historical fiction (any period really).

Edited to add:

I get my daughter until next summer :) Well, with a brief trip after Christmas, but I'll go with her then.

That's great!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Have a safe trip!!

I don't know what type of fiction you like, but for a light read that you can probably finish in one flight, grab one of the Tom Clancy's NetForce series -- they're pretty entertaining without getting as involved as a typical Tom Clancy novel (mostly, I think, because he doesn't actually write them :p )

Whooo Hooo!!! Have a great trip! No book suggestions, for I am in a reading lull.

Have you read the Da Vinci Code? If so, try Brown's earlier book, Angels and Demons. You should be able to get it in paperback. I enjoyed them both.

That is great!!! I am very happy for you!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm in a reading lull also, so unfortunately I don't have any suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions :) Brown's other books and NetForce books both sound like pretty good options. That'll give me something to work with :)

Have a safe trip Jeff! I'm so happy for you! Woo hoo! I'm happy for your little one too! :cloud9:

Now hurry, get to that airport! Don't be late! :p ;) :Pinkbounc

 See you when you get home!

May I suggest Brinbaum's Guide to WDW 2005. :p

Pick up something by Harry Turtledove like "Guns of the South"....It's speculative fiction / alternate history, and a really good read ::yes::

Have fun :)

I know you were looking for fiction, but Managing Ignatius by Jerry Strahan is a great book, if you've ever read A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. Strahan writes about the real-life inception and development of the "Lucky Dog" vendors in New Orleans (the inspiration for CoD), and at some points you'll swear it's fiction!

Anyway, just a thought!

Well, I went with Dan Brown's Angels and Demons and Ken Follett's Hornet Flight. IMGONNABE40!, I'll blame you if I don't like Angels and Demons ;)

Seriously though, thanks for the suggestions. Got a few in there to keep in mind for future reading. Didn't see any Harry Turtledove there, but it was a small bookstore.
