DD (12) asked if I had the MP3 of Stairway to Heaven to put on her Ipod.

Maybe she will be interested in my Dead Kennedy's collection next?

Same thing just happened to me! DS asked he could put my "That's What I Like About You" on his iPod. He said my "old" version is better than the current remake. (I didn't even know there is a remake.)

My son (11) has recently discovered my They Might Be Giants collection. And he's been at my Dave Matthews Band CDs too.

My DD13 recently won a free game of mini-golf because she correctly identified the band singing the song they were playing. It was The Cars!

Somehow my DD#1 (13) found out about Journey and has put a lot of it on her Ipod--she came in last week or so and told DH and I "You know, that "Wheel in the Sky" is a great song!" Considering it came out when I was her age, we laughed pretty hard about it.

Journey is MY all time favorite and DD know just about all their songs because I play them all the time!!!

DD11 got an MP3 player for Christmas and the only songs she had downloaded are by KISS, Charlie Daniels Band (Devil went down th GA), and Jimmy Buffet. She has about 20 CD's of her own but only wanted mine and DH's music.

Another story-- a boy in DD's class had on a Led Zepplin shirt and another kid didn't know who they were. DD told him and the boyt with the shirt asked how she knew them. She told them her Dad has a ton of classic rock CD's like the Beatles, Eric Clapton, etc. The kids response-- Wow, your Dad is cool! I told her that her Dad is not cool he is just old!!!
