Dreaming of when I finally get to go back to WDW!

Finally Graduated!! Day 1... (May 13-21, 2003)

Linda-50's- Stepmother-along for the ride (arriving May 17, 2 am)
I arrived at the airport at 1:30 pm for my 2:50 flight, Akron Canton airport is really small and an hour early would even have been plenty. I got through security, they asked for my ticket and license to go through the gate, and my license several other times, along with my ticket and license when I boarded the plane. While I was waiting for the plane I saw an airport worker ask a woman to gate check something that wouldnt fit in overhead, she argued and refused. She said that it would and wouldnt listen to him; she really didnt understand the concept of gate checking either. Finally her son explained it to her and she agreed, but she was a real pain. I got into MCO fine, got my AP at the Disney store in the airport and went to get my luggage. It was about a 15-20 minute wait till the luggage started, but mine came out soon after they started. I took Mears to my resort, it might have taken a little longer than with a town car but I didnt want to spend the extra money just for myself. I talked almost the whole wait to the Mears guy that was outside by where I was waiting and had a good time talking to him, then on the ride over I happened to meet someone who lived 20 minutes away from me, I talked to her and her family for the entire ride, her little girl, 3, was really cute and talked to me for a while also. I got to ASMu and the CM was nice, but she didnt seem to understand how to put cash down for a deposit instead of a credit card, she tried to tell me that you couldnt, but because of the DIS I knew better and she got someone to help her. I had room 2556 Jazz Building #2 I had requested non-smoking because I am allergic to smoke and had no problems with the room. I did like the room; it was quiet and not that far. I called my Mom to tell her I arrived and talked for a while, by the time I hung up and unpacked it was 10:30 so I went to check out the resort a little. I went to the store and the food court, liked both. I got my mug and a chocolate tipped rice-krispy treat and sat down for a while. Went back to the room watched some TV and went to bed.
