Finally got a PIN, but not the one I need

So after being jealous of everyone else getting PINs, I finally got one yesterday that is good for the dates I was thinking about in November.
In fact, I got it a few days after getting a quote for my November dates and saving the offer.
The email included a reference to my saved offer, so it looks like, at least in some cases, Disney is looking at people who get a quote on the site, save the offer, but don't book.

The only problem is it's a 30% off PIN, when what I really need is free dining.
Even at a value resort, with the PIN, it would cost us about $160 per night for 2 rooms. That's a nice discount, but still doesn't make sense for our family of 7, when we can rent a big house with a pool for $140 per night or less.

I had gotten a pin for the dates I saved in November too. I called because I couldn't really understand what the pin was for. I expected it was a % off, but it was vague. The CM told me it was actually only for an upgrade from regular park tickets to hopper and fun & more added. She then told me that the pin would expire on 3/10 and she wouldn't be surprised if I received another one after that. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

We got one today for the dates we are looking at in November. It's a weekday 20% off room only, and doesn't include the AoA suite, which is where we want to stay. Bummer.

If we book AoA (room only) just to insure that we have a room reserved, will this keep us from getting additional pins in the future? Or are the two things totally unrelated?

Thanks!

UGH! I know November is a long time away, but I really want a pin code for it NOW!!!

I'd be happy to book. That stupid free dining for June we received is going to waste, and our real trip is getting no love!!!

Some folks here on the DIS claim to have gotten pins even after they had booked a reservation. Speaking for myself only, in the last 5 years, that I've been receiving pin codes, I've NEVER gotten another one after I've booked a package BUT I have been lucky to be able to take advantage of GP codes once they were released and then switched and that's what we're hoping happens again this year. I currently have a ressie booked for August with a 30% pin code, but a FD code would save us much more $$ so I'm keeping my eyes/ears open.
