So I'm at work yesterday and get an email.....FROM DISNEY!!! Okay, I get emails alot from them.....they're not usually anything to do cartwheels over. But yesterday I got the most wonderful email ever !! The 40% / 30% / 20% pin for most of 2010 !! :cool1::yay::yay::yay: I sat in disbelieve for like a second and then was trying so very hard not to scream. I'm sure my co-workers all thought I was a nut job or something......This must be what it's like to win the lottery ,because I swear, that's what it felt like. :worship:
I tried not to get too excited though, because surely it would never include our dates....but alas !! It did !!! So my DH was ecstatic and when we got home, we called, booked the GF for Sept 2010 and did our dance of joy!! :dance3: We wound up saving $1300.00 !!! I would have been so glad for free dining, but this just was so fantastic !! I am wishing pixie dust for all !!! :cheer2: I had to share this with everyone because it took SO long and SO much work and I know that everyone can appreciate what we all go through praying to get a pin code! Thanks to everyone for all your wonderful tips !! Now I just have to sit and wait until the wonderful day to make ADR's ! ~ Jill

Just curious did you do anything on the Disneyworld site to possible get the code? Also, what email address does the code come from??

Thanks!

I am still waiting for my first pin, so thanks for all the great suggestions! Congrats on getting a pin that worked for you and saved you lots of money!! :thumbsup2

I'd be interested in that too, and if you did register with the disney site and save vacation offers etc. about how long/often did you do that before getting your code?

I don't know if it was luck or anything I did, but I created an acct on disney.com and logged in at least once or twice a week. each time I'd look at the hotels, dining plans, etc....navigate around... then I priced out vacations with the dates you want to go. Well, at the bottom, you can either "save it" or "book it". I always saved it. Then if you go out of that page, a box will pop up basically asking you why you aren't booking. So I'd choose "we aren't ready to book / still have questions". Then at the bottom I wrote in "that we were still undecided and were hoping for a promotion for the month we were interested in". I can't tell you how many times I think I did this. :surfweb: it was ALOT. Then, I read someone else's tip to order the vacation video ( you can also make your own video where you choose what's on it.... I digress, but it's super cool....) and then order custom maps. ( which you can do every 6 months I think). Anyway, I don't know if all of that led to getting a pin, but I sure don't figure it hurt. And for the savings, it was TOTALLY worth it. :yay: My best advice is to create your account on Disney.com and just play around on the website. Because one of the "vacation packages" that I saved was for the GF for our week and everything we wanted. Well, the email that I got said "We're so glad you're interested in Disney's Grand Floridian" and went on to tell you about the hotel and all that you can do at Disney.....then it said "Special Resort Offer" and had the pin code. This was at the bottom of the email, so if you get an email, READ IT THOROUGHLY!!! The email came from Disney Destinations. So don't give up !! I am wishing pixie dust for everyone and hope you get a code too !!! :grouphug: ~ Jill
