and they won't let us use it.
We got a $150 Disney Visa offer addressed to The "Smith" Family (my maiden name). On the actual application portion there is no name, just the address and invitation number.
DH tried calling last night and they won't give him the offer because his last name isn't "Smith".
The lady told him he could go to the website and get the current general offer ($15).
I know I'm just venting, but this seems ridiculous. It's not an offer for a specific person, it's supposed to be for our household. A good percentage of the married couples I know have different last names, so if they get an offer addressed to the "Husband" family, the wife can't take advantage of it because she kept her last name?
On another note that may be encouraging for others, I know how we were selected to receive the offer due to this mess up. We took my parents on our last trip, so one room had guests with our last name and the other room was for the "Smith's".
So, for those who recently returned from a trip, maybe you'll get at $150 DV offer.
