Finally....good News

Well, let's just hope they put that $100M+ to good use. :goodvibes

I hope I'm not the lone cynic, but I'm going to withold my complete and utter excitement until we learn for sure what they're doing and development starts. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited. But to get to the all-important level of utter excitement, I wants ta see some pics. Engineering specs. Design work in Autocad. Full page colored advertising on bonded paper. Brochures. My consultation and input comes really, really cheap, if they're interested. I wouldn't put a dent in that $100M+ budget.

I just want to know what they're doing. Is that too dang much to ask?

Don't they know who I am on the DISBOARDS? I mean, honestly. Gads. Hmmppph.

You'd think they'd leak it to us first, wouldn't you? It would be the proper thing to do after all the work we do for them!:rotfl:

Doesn't the article say that 120 million will be spent in 2007 or I am reading that incorrectly?

This is a quote from somewhere, "The report says Universal Orlando intends to spend $100 million to $120 million on new projects this year, compared with $41 million last year and $30 million in 2004". So wouldn't that make the 120 mil in 2007?

I think it all depends on when their fiscal year begins...so they spend money this year for projects that probably open next year (2008)

And try to have the new ride open before May, or even by Spring Break. There is a coaster season. If they get the job done, they can attract visitors from up north and the UK before the summer season.
