I agree with the snacking thing. I could snack all day and never eat and single meal. In fact, last year I remember seeing a thread about everyone's favorite snack at the world and I thought "There are so many good things, I could just eat junk all day." :rotfl2: The corndog nuggets at Casey's are a must try for me. I also really want to get a crepe from France. mmmm.

Not a bad idea leaving the credit cards at home. I think I may just bring cash, and only bring enough cash with me that I budgeted for that day and leave the rest in the room safe. So, I won't be tempted.

I REALLY need to set myself a limit on souvenirs. This is the first time going to Disney with my own money.

Usually my parents would let us pick one small thing a day if we behaved. (This was more for my brother, he was always the trouble marker, :rotfl2:) And then sometime they'd rewards for conquering our fears, my mom let me get a TOT t-shirt because I actually rode it and didn't chicken out.

So now I'm under 100 days and I'm getting more and more excited. This trip will be over a year in the making and I can't believe it's actually going to happen.

I stopped by the Disney Store at the local mall on Friday and grabbed a brochure about purchasing our MYW passes there. To my surprise, the ticket prices were comparable through the Disney Store.

Now, I've heard people combining their MYW passes with their KTTW card when they get to their resort. Is this possible, it would be sooo much easier to only have one or two cards.

I've also realized something else about Steve, he is CLUELESS about Disney. He's been there a few times and his family aren't exactly commando planners, but, I becoming more and more excited to show him things he's never seen. Here's an example:

While we were waiting in line for pretzels at the mall, we were discussing Disney. I don't remember how we came on the subject but we started talking about TSM, and I said:

"It's like the Buzz Lightyear ride in Tomorrowland but 3D and it's spins you more from what I understand"
He sort of looked at me like I was speaking a Swahili.
"You've never been on Buzz?"
"No...."

I think rather than researching the rides, he and his sibling, who the last time they went to Disney were in their late teens, assumed that just because a ride was in Magic Kingdom was a lame kiddie ride. :sad2:

I don't want to sound like an elitist, however, it's sad that there are great things that people miss out on due to lack of planning/homework. I don't understand how people can just go to Disney with researching it first. Or do we Diser's over complicate things? Does anyone feel the same way?

Ok, I'll put my soap box away now, thank for listening.

I'm BAAAAAAACK! After a very long hiatus. I'm back on the boards. well.....That's sort of not true. I've always been lurking on the boards but I haven't actively posted anything until very recently. Once again my trip went swirling down the toilet when Borders closed and my Fiance, Steve, lost his job. Life has been really crazy the past 6 months. Luckily Steve was able to get a full time job that gave him vacation time.

As many of you may know, Steve's Dad lives in Central Florida. So we made plans to go visit. We planned to spend a 2 days in Orlando and hit a few parks and then spend the rest of our time with his Dad and Step-Mom.

But things can never go as planned can they? :sad2: OF COURSE, my transmission on my car went out and had to be rebuilt. So my tax return money that I was banking on for our trip was complete eaten up in car repairs.

So we had to make a some cut backs. We decided to drive, since Steve enjoys driving anyways. And we had to cut out one of the parks. Since we're planning a Disneymoon for next year, we decided to do Islands of Adventure as the one park we would visit. There is a reason for this: THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER!!! Since We're not going to the any Disney Parks I thought this board would not be the right place for my Trip Report. That's right you heard my people, I'm actually writing a trip report:woohoo:. In fact I've already started it so Head on over to the Universal/IOA board and check it out.
