Hey Yuki. No I'm actually not getting free QS meals. The dates for that deal stopped at October 1st. However, the CM on the phone said that they will probably do free dining again in the fall this year and to call back to get that deal when they announce it.

Ohh that sounds great! If you get a TA to help you, they'll automatically change your reservation to include free dining when it comes out, so you don't have to watch for it and call to change it yourself.

I worked with a really great one if you'd like me to PM you her name.

OK your 5th set of plans sounds great!!!!!! :lmao::lmao:

I know you are gonna love MNSSHP. It is such a fun party. I'm thinking you will end up with free dining... keep watching those codes! :goodvibes

Glad you got your staples out and are feeling fairly well. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Why thank you Tim, I'm glad you approve of my plans. :worship: (joking) :lmao:

So, I hear that you're a wedding DJ? If I end up getting married at Disney, I might ask you to DJ and Liesa's offered to take Photos. Just a thought. I'd have a bunch of DIS friend work my wedding. That would be so awesome. A wedding/DISmeet. There would be a table of all my DIS friends, how awesome would that be.

Halloween is my absolute favorite time of the year. I'm so glad now that I'll be going to Disney in the fall to see all the awesome decorations. And I will, without a doubt attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. And since it is a Halloween party that means.....COSTUMES!!!!!! Steve is usually really good about letting me dress him up in whatever (as long as I'm doing the leg work:rolleyes:) Since this is a Disney Halloween, this is a great opportunity to dress up as our favorite Disney characters, Jack & Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas!!!

Being that I'm pretty crafty and I'm not a huge fan of the store bought versions of the costumes, so I think I'll make our own.

I'm thinking for Jack's suit, I'll get a suit from Goodwill and paint on the white stripes. Sort of like this:

And I'll sew Sally's dress from different chunks of fabric.

Now for the Make up, that is what has me really excited. Over the last couple of year's I've gotten really interested in theater/special effects make up. One year for Halloween Steve and I went as Zombies to a friend Halloween party. Here is the make-up I did on myself.

I used a layer of liquid latex, toilet paper for rotting flesh, another layer of liquid latex on the toilet paper, and I can't remember if the color make-up was grease or cream based but it was called Zombie Flesh. Personally, I think the color is a bit too green, and if I were to do it again, I'd mix up my own colors but for the time being I just used what the guy at my local costume shop gave me and it was called "Zombie Flesh."

I just watched a video on how to make latex appliances, which are the piece that get glued to your body.

For myself I don't just want to draw on Sally's stitches with a make-up pencil, I want to make latex appliances for my arms, legs, neck and face that have the actual puncture holes and the three dimensional thread. I also want to get a wig made out of yarn. I'm sure I can find one somewhere out there on the internets. More likely that not, on Etsy.

For Steve, I want to make a foam and latex appliance for this face to go over his eyebrows so they are smooth like a skull. Then give his cheek bones more depth and his face more hollow looking and the teeth over his lips. For his hands I'm going to get some black rubber gloves and paint them to look like bones with acrylic paint.

Here are an amazing Jack and Sally costume I found while browsing the interwebs just now:

Yay for the staples being removed!! Are you feeling 100% yet?

I think a Halloween/Dia de los Muertos wedding would be really cute and fun to plan for.

Just a note on the Halloween costume - for Steve's headpiece, it wouldn't be a mask, right? Or considered a mask. The reason I'm asking is because Disney doesn't allow masks for the Halloween parties, so they'll make him take it off and I'd hate for you to do all that work for nothing.

Crissy! Not quite 100% yet. I can't drive yet or go up and down stairs. I'm not in any pain, I'm just itchy like crazy from my incision healing. Thanks for the tip about the masks. It wouldn't be a full mask, just latex pieces. I should really look around the boards and see if there are any posts about Disney's costume restrictions. I would be REALLY mad if we CM's made Steve take off the prosthetic pieces or something.

You know what they say, 5th time's a .... oh never mind. :lmao: I know you WILL get there; I'm actually glad you chose Oct afterall, you'lll have a blast at the party. Love the costume ideas!!

As for getting the poll off: I don't htink you can- it's embedded into the first post somehow. I wanted to take one off my first thread a couple of years ago, and the mod told me she couldn't help me.

Anyway, hope each day is a bit better for you! Sounds like you're healing up well! :thumbsup2

I tried searching for you Kris and came across one site which had the below wording:

'There are some costume guidelines to remember though; costumes that are too scary or gruesome are not allowed, as well as costumes that feature a mask.'

All I really remember is that if you come dressed as a Disney character, don't do a job that is so good that the kids will confuse you as the character and want to take photos with you. And the part about the mask.

It sounds like you'll be ok with what your current idea is. :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see when you start working on it. :)

I'm glad to hear you're doing better! You sound like me after I had my c-sections! No going up and down stairs, no lifting, and those freaking staples! The itching from the healing is way worse than any pain IMO because there's really nothing you can do about itching! :rotfl: I'm happy to hear you're not in any pain and there weren't any complications. A speedy recovery to you!

I didn't catch that Travel Channel special! It sounds like it was good! I'll have to see if I can find it On Demand ;) It sounds like it really inspired you for your Disneymoon! Your wedding plans sound great! What a wonderful theme! I also really like your costume ideas for this year! They sound pretty awesome.

Now, I should've known you were a LOTR geek too:

So now, this is THE TRIP. One Trip to Rule Them All. The Trip of Destiny.

"One trip to rule them all. One trip to find them. One trip to bring them all and into Disney bind them." :lmao: OK, I admit I went too far! LOL

I won't be using them for a few months, however, I have them!!!!!:yay::woohoo:

I just ordered the DFTW brochure. My first step towards my dream wedding!!:bride::groom:

I've been looking to into venues and what not and Disney actually seems to the less expensive bet. I mean if we go with the Escape package. So once I really start planning, will link my Planning Journals on my PTR/TR. And Steve and I are going to make an appointment with DFTW people when we go for sure!!

Well peeps, I've decided that I'm going to have a Disney wedding for sure! I called the DFTW people today to try and book our Planning Session, but they said they don't start doing anything with brides until 12 months out and that they don't start booking anything for 8 months. I'm going to call back 2 weeks before we leave for our trip to see if we can book a planning session.

That's really great news Kristin! :goodvibes Have you given any thought into 12-12-12? I know a lot of the brides are grabbing up the dates like that. DFTW was even offering (for a very limited time) a discounted rate for the brides who wanted 11-11-11 this year.

At any rate you are going to have a lot of fun planning.

Thanks Crissy! I'm so excited. I'm going to start my Planning Journal today. So once that is up I'll add a link here so my buds can read along with all the plans. :lovestruc

That's a big decision about the Disney wedding! Big congrats on really making it firmer. I can see why they'd only allow sessions 12 months out- I imagine lots of weddings would come and go in that amount of time.

Now back to planning my October trip:

Food Stuffs

Now that I've cancelled my ADR's for the anniversary trip that won't happen:guilty: I can rethink my ADR's for October.

One place I really want to try that I completely forgot about when I made the ADR's before is Via Niapoli. Being from Chicago, Steve and I know pizza. I probably eat Pizza a few time a month. I was really sold on this place while reading Jenbear's TR. I'm thinking this might be a Linner meal (you know that time in between lunch and dinner, around 3ish.)

So here are my ADR ideas

Kona Cafe (I want some of that pressed coffee and Tonga toast. mmmm)

Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Teppan Edo

Ragland Road

Sci-fi Din-In Theather
