I've been Lurking around a lot of TR's lately and have started thinking about my ADR's for the trip. Only 25 more day until the 180 day mark.:woohoo: Merry Christmas to me. Was reading Chunymonkey's TR and it's making me hungry.

I showed Mia some of DTD, which is a possibility for arrival day and she REALLY wants to eat at T-REX. And REALLY wants to make a Dinosaur at Build-a-dino. So that will be our first dinner.

Other ideas:
Biergarten
Don't know how much Mia will like the food here but my grandma and I will really like it. My gram loves sausage and saukraut,so what better a place. The atmosphere seems really nice with the little show and all. Also my gram LOVES a tall glass of beer (with ice, gotta have ice) So I think we may have to split the beer sampler (not for Mia, just for me and Gram :rotfl:) :drink:

Sci-Fi Drive-in Theather
My grandma favorite in to eat in the entire world in a cheeseburger and I've heard they have the best cheeseburger in the entire World (Disney that is. lol) But I have a feeling she might not like the darkness. I've eaten here before but I was a looong time ago, I think '97-ish. I don't remember the food but I do remember I really liked the atmosphere.

And I just realized it's quitin time peeps (Yes i'm on the Dis at work. :rolleyes1) All this talk of food has made me hungry and my mom's whipping up some tostadas for dinner.

To Be Continued....

(BTW working on my cliffhanger for the TR. How am I doing so far popcorn::)

Also I'm going to go through a box of old pictures my mom has a post some of my families Disney pics from years past (way past)

Both those choices sound really good so far! I heard Beaches and Cream have a pretty good cheeseburger too.

I also ate at Sci-Fi along time ago, not as long as you, it was in 2003/2004 I think. I don't remember much but that I thought the idea of watching a movie was cool and that the shake was pretty tasty! :thumbsup2 I say go ahead and make an ADR there, you'll be entertained with a movie and the food should be decent. You really can't mess up burgers & fries. :)

Are there any other places you want to go to? DF and I went to Via Napoli back when it opened and the food was good. DF didn't think it was worth the price to pay for pizza but it was a nice night out for us so that was all that mattered to me. :rotfl: It's pretty in there and like I said I thought it was really tasty.

Shows how much I know, apparently my grandma DOES NOT like saukaurt or sausage. So, Biergarten is out. Although, may have to stop at Sommerfest for a pretzel and some beer.

To Be Continue.....

How about bribing her with something from the new Karamelle Kuche shop to get her to eat there? LOL. :rotfl:

The new caramel shop is must. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water.

OMG, it smells so delicious when you walk into it. We had the apple pie caramel apple and it was really good!!

Yuki, I just checked out the menu for Beaches and Cream and it seems perfect! They serve my Gram's favorite beer Miller Lite and it's an Ice Cream Parlor. So this will have to be a lunch stop at some point.

Yay! I'm glad I was able to make a good recommendation.

Haha, it's funny you thought your gram liked sausage and sauerkrauts.

Crissy, I'm so jealous of you. DBF and I are both huge caramel apple fans. I can't wait to try it out!

[NEW DATES
April 3 - 9

My Aunt decided that she does want to take a trip to North Carolina in May. I did some juggling of dates and decided that these dates are good because Mia has an in-service day at school that week so she would be off one day and only miss 4 days of school.

My mom also found a better rate through Southwest Airlines Vacations INCLUDING air fare. So I'm going to cancel out reservation through Disney and through Southwest Airlines instead.

If you're wondering why we didn't take the September dates, weeelll....

My mom and dad decided to do a trip to Memphis in September and take my Grandma and my boyfriend. We went to Memphis in 2009 and it was a disaster. The trip was a graduation present to my brother, he wanted to do a Memphis BBQ tour. The first day there he comes down with a stomach bug and can't eat anything the whole trip Meanwhile, my grandmother was sick at home. We thought she had the same stomach bug my brother had. It turns out to be a bowl obstruction and has to have surgery. She ends up in the hospital, so my family has to leave Memphis a day early.

So We want to take a Do-Over trip and go in September for my gram's birthday. My Aunt over hears us talking about it and says "How can you take Mom to Memphis for her birthday when she's suppose to be in Disney World"

My mom and I look at her and say "But you said not to change the dates for May!":headache:

My mom and I are seriously annoyed that my Aunt is making this trip more difficult that it has to be.

So I start juggling around dates so we can still go to Memphis in September and I FINALLY found a week that works for EVERYBODY.

May was a bad month anyways, I have my anime convention, Also my boyfriend's sister's Wedding shower will be in May. So moving the trip up works perfectly.

Kristen, you have a lot of patience to deal with your aunt. :) Wow, she is really making this hard to figure out. I'm glad you found a week that works well for all. April is just as good as September. :)

The Memphis trip sounds like fun, have you guys been checking out what places you want to eat at?

Crissy, I'm so jealous of you. DBF and I are both huge caramel apple fans. I can't wait to try it out!

Aw Yuki if I only knew how to ship this out without it melting, I'd offer to get it for you. :) No one should be denied caramel apples. :rotfl:

I've been known to have the patience of an angel. Memphis is going to be really fun.:cool1:

I just had to share this funny little story with you guys,

Yesterday I was telling Steve my DBF about the date changes and everything, His response to this was

"So that means you have to get your dinner reservation in now right?"

Can you tell I'm rubbing off on him. He's learning so well in the ways of the DIS. This is the guy who 2 weeks ago thought I was crazy for wanting to GET UP EARLY on my VACATION to make it to Rope Drop at MK my first full day there. To which I replied with "You don't sleep in at Disney, silly :sad2:"

Also we've decided that when we eventually get married we are going to do a Disneymoon for sure. :lovestruc

Awww, you've trained him well. Andrew now talks about Fastpasses and knows the value of getting there at rope drop.

I've thought of a Disneycruisemoon. Or maybe a land and sea trip.

Aw, Kristin you have trained him well.

I've always wanted to do a Disney wedding too. Check out the wedding section here on the DIS, my goodness you can sit there for hours and hours just reading these brides plans. And then you end up with so many options you just don't know where to start. :)

I just got off the phone with a CM to change the dates of our reservation. And I ended up SAVING MONEY!! I looked at the specials on the Disney site and noticed that there was a special for 35% off room rates for my new dates and they were able to apply it to my reservation! The price of my trip went down $300. :woohoo::yay::banana:

I also found a really really good rate for Air fare through US Airways.

I made a few of ADR's this morning. I wanted to make sure I had the new dates locked in before I did. So here they are:

Monday, April 4th
1900 Park Fare - Character Breakfast
8:00 am

This would be our Magic Kingdom Day and I'm hoping to get there in time for Rope Drop but if we don't it's not the end of the world.
Also, I picked this Character Breakfast mostly because it features Mary Poppins, who is my grams FAVORITE Disney Character EVER! She even calls her self Mary Poppins and says she's "Practically Prefect in every way!" Plus Mia will like Pooh and Friends and the Mad Hatter is always fun.

Tuesday, April 5th
O'hana - Character Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch
9:20 am

This character breakfast is sort of for me, but Mia also loves Stitch as much as I do, and my gram recently watch Lilo & Stitch for the first time and really liked it. She kept saying Lilo with a long eye (L-eye-lo). So I KNOW she's probably say it when we're there. I'll try to get her saying it on video, so you can hear it. My gram says things funny sometime what with her Chicago accent and all. :lmao:

Wednesday, April 6th
Chef Mickey's
6:25pm

Chef Mickey's is a favorite of me and my gram. I haven't been there in years of course and I've heard the food quality has gone down. I guess we'll have to see when we get there. :confused3

Thursday, April 7th
50's Prime Time Cafe
3:00pm

Been here once and really loved the atmosphere. I decided to do a late lunch early dinner to avoid the crowds. Funny story about the last time I eat here in my next post.

I tried to get an ADR for T-Rex in DTD for our arrival day but the only time I could get after 5pm was 10:eek: No Way Jose, So I'm going to keep trying. Maybe a spot will open up down the road. Or maybe we can just wing it and see if we can get a table as walk-ups and hope the wait isn't too long.

Man, Disney food is the best. I can't wait to chow down at all these awesome places.
