Finally getting the Travel Channel

Wilma - yes, it's channel 63.......I erroneously thought all of LI would get it at the same time, but that's not true. My DB is in Northport and they are also getting it in January.

I too had problems with the link so I did the following:
Left click highlight from right to left
Right click COPY
Next open a new window and delete address
Then right click paste
then hit enter.

Worked for me!

PS saw the show the other night (Magic behind the scenes) it was really good and informative. I taped it and showed the kids the next morning. ODS now wants to try EVERYTHING and YDS is terrified of everything!!!!!

We're getting it here too finally in Morris County, NJ starting early next month. I'm so excited. I can't wait to see the Disney hotels featured on there.
My husband is not too thrilled. He's still waiting for Cablevision to get the Yankees. Oh, well.

Any North Jersey Comcast customers out there? When are WE going to get the Travel Channel?

Waiting to get our digital service through Cablevision. Can't wait to get it. My husband is an employee, you think that all the employees will be the ones to get it first, to try, but not here. He has installed them in plenty of customers home and we are still waiting. Were told sometime next year. That really sucks.

But I am glad that with the new line-up we are getting the travel channel.

It still amazes me how everyone blames Cablevision for not carrying the Yankees. When Steinbrenner monoplized MSG he had Cablevision buy the channel in order to carry the Yankees and they did that. Couple of years later he decides to go with his own network, and again mess with Cablevision. He is greedy and wants more money. No way is cablevision going to pay again since they were forced to buy MSG once before. They learned. Any blame, blame George.

With IO you can subscribe to a lot of different sports packages and I like the on demand - like being able to watch the new movie releases at almost the same time they come out at Blockbuster, order any missed shows or episodes and watch them, pause, make dinner and come back and not have missed a thing. Similar to TIVO.

Enough said - glad Trave Channel is on. Tonight set my VCR to tape the Grand Floridian Episode.

Cablevision has finally added the Travel Channel to Family Cable in Central New Jersey as of 1/14/03!!! I am so excited! I'll be checking the January schedule now to catch those WDW shows!!!

Just went to Travel Channle online and found out the following:

Grand Floridian--January 20th @ 12:30pm.

Animal Kingdom--January 24th @ 12:30pm.

Yacht & Beach Club--January 31st@12pm.

North Jersey here, still no Travel Channel. I told Comcast I'd even ugrade to digital if it included the TC. No response!

I appreciate the latest update on what's being shown about our DisneyWorld. I CAN see the Grand Floridian show, since I do not have work on Monday. But, since my VCR is out of commission, the other two shows are on at very inconvenient times for those of us who work outside the home.
But, --can you see me jumping up and down?? I finally have the travel channel and enjoy some of the other programming as well, since I am a frustrated travel agent/planner.
