finally finished my lamp!

We finally finished putting together my Mickey head lamp. I was too impatient to find the thread that talked about the lamps. We used the 8 inch globes for ears as suggested by one of the disers. I can't wait to go camping and use it even though I won't be in the Fort. (Don't know when our next trip will be to the Fort.) The ears are just placed up there for the picture. I just couldn't wait!

I am hunting for some red fabric with polka dots for one of the heads! DH says we aren't going to be real popular at the campgrounds because you could land a plane from the light of the heads. I put in two 75W compact flourescent (sp) bright white bulbs. I'll be sure to put it on our timer so we don't keep anybody up at night!!!

Be sure to let everyone know when your going to the Fort...with that much wattage all the bugs will be at your site

Looks great and you at least got the ears close to the proportion to the head. Some I've seen sort of look like bumps vs. ears on the head. If I put two of those with my lighting setup I could light up 1/2 of NYC

Thanks! about the screen! I have a thing about stars, especially ones that remind me of the Lone Star on the Texas flag! We got it at Home Depot several years ago.
