Finally figured out what I want to do with my life

I'm not a teen anymore (20) but I used to always post on here when I was younger. Anyways, I'm at college now, and have figured out that I am going to concentrate in Hotel & Hospitality management as my major area of study. I'm a huge fan of WDW, and always dreamed of working at one of the hotels on property. Hopefully, once I get my degree, that dream will become a reality. I'm currently a student at Mount Union College in Ohio, and wish to continue grad school at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

If any of you aren't sure what you want to do with yourselves, but love Disney World as much as I do, it certainly doesn't sound like a bad idea to me to work at the place you love.

It's a good feeling to finally figure out what I want to do with myself. If anyone has any questions for me, feel free to ask!

Im in collage too im 15 though. I am going into teaching. I am going to homeschool Brittany and be a 5 or 6 grade teacher.

I am at school in Indiana and while I cannot major in Hotel and Hospitality Management at my school I am doing an independent study on it and am contemplating going into that area since my father is in that area.

Congratulations on your decision! As a high school senior constantly being bombarded with "you have to choose your future NOW" it's nice to know that you'll be doing something you love.

One of my best Disney friends is going to school at MSU for hospitality as well, all because of WDW.

I'm in school for elementary education, but I think that hospitality management could be really fun.

I am I have 3 career paths I am interested in and that is one of them.

That is what I've always wanted to do since I was 10. I am 13 now and I hope to go along that path. I've always wondered if there was a special school that you needed to go to, to accomplish this goal. And then I would need to chooses a hotel to work at as well. Which resort would you work at.

Not every school offers this discipline as a major, but there are plenty of them out there. If this is what you want to do, the major is called hotel management. (many schools refer to it as hospitality management.) You've got plenty of time to decide what college you want to go to, and see which ones offer it.

As far as working at the disney resorts, I would personally like to work at the Wilderness Lodge, Poly, Grand Floridian, or Contemporary Resort. These are my favorite hotels, and it would be so much fun to work in one of them. Unfortunately, I don't think you get too much choice as to which one you work in. If I'm lucky enough to find a job opening at any disney resort, I'd be happy to take it.
