I am finally getting around to do our trip report for our Dec 07 Trip. Better late then never lol
This trip was such a special trip for my family. My husband had just returned from 15 month tour in Iraq and we were celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary at the World. We bought annual passes on this trip and the Disney Dining expierence card. That card saved us some money!!

Yikes somehow I must have submitted my first post before I was ready too.
Oh well, so our trip got off on a rocky start. We are going to leave the evening on Friday Dec 7th , however at 130pm Fri my dd school calls and says we better come get dd cause she is crying and her ear hurts. I quickly call the pediatrician clinic and the stars must have been aligned and was able to get her an appt right away. Yep dd has double ear infection. We get some antibiotics and those numbing ear drops that work miracles!! We came back home and I put dd in bed so she can rest. We decide to leave early Sat morning only if she feels like it. Well, the rest of the evening she kept asking when are we leaving. Man I love those numbing ear drops!! So we woke up super early Sat and we are on our way to the Happiest place on Earth!!
Soon as we get there we stop at Shades of Green to buy our Fla resident annual passes since we dont have to pay tax there. Even though we live in NC we are still consider Fla residents due to Fl is our home of record and we are in NC on military orders. Shades of Green is a beautiful resort, very nice landscaping. Luckily, the ticket clerk was an honest person. I left my digital camera on the desk after taking pictures of dd with the huge Christmas tree . I realized later when we were in the gift shop I no longer had my camera. My heart stopped and I felt sick since I had just bought the camera for this trip. I ran back to the desk and he had my camera . YAY... With annual pass vouchers we head on over to Pop to check in....

Ok so we check in at Pop... Love the magical feeling you get when you walk into a WDW resort. We get to our room and freshened up. We have a family wedding to attend right outside of Orlando this evening. My cousin was getting married so we went to go see family and enjoy the Wedding celebration. Came back and got a goods night rest . Sunday Dec 9th we headed to MGM Studios for the morning. Kaylee particpated in the HSM pep rally and had fun. We caught some shows then headed over to DTD to look into some shops. Then headed over to spend rest of afternoon and evening at our familys cook out.

On Monday Dec 10th we had the my Disney Princess Perfect tea party booked at Grand Floridian. It was a pricey event, but it was so worth it this trip. To me this event is a one time thing. Its really nice, but not something to everytime since it is pricey and I really think that if you did it more then one time it may not be as special each time. We got to GF and Kaylee and all the other lil girls patiently waited for it to start. All the lil girls were dressed as Sleeping Beauty, it was so cute. There was one lil girl who didn't dress up and she was upset because all the other lil girls were dressed up. One of the ladies that works the tea party came and talked to her and cheered her up. I am so glad that she went out of her way for the lil girl. When the tea party was about to start they called each girl up one by one by name. They placed a crown on her head and then sprinkled magic dust on each one. We were then led to our table. We shared a table with another lil girl and her mom and grandma. My dh was also with us, I had given him him the option of doing something else but he wanted to come to the tea party with us. There were quite a few other dads there as well. When we got to our table there was a sleeping beauty doll there each girl and a bracelet. Rose Petal who is the host for the teaparty tells the story with so much enthusiam and crowd participation. It was so much fun listening and watching rose petal. We were served lunch and tea.The girls have apple juice in their tea and the adults get tea. I have a heart condition and can't drink caffeine , so I mentioned to our waitress that I can't drink caffeine and she also brought me a pot of apple juice instead of tea. We were served cake and then after cake all the girls lined up and Sleeping Beauty came out and they all marched behind Sleeping Beauty then came back to the tables. Sleeping Beauty came to each table and talked with each child and posed for pictures. She also gave an invitation to each child and passed out a rose. After the tea party we were told to go to the second floor gift shop and we were given a free scrapbook pages kit. It was a very nice expierence and we had alot of fun. I am glad we did it.

We came back to the hotel to rest before heading out to Ohana's. We had a great time there for dinner. Kaylee enjoyed playing all the games they have for kids. The Hawaiian entertainer was so wonderful.
I was worried because I had read on DIS that some people were rushed through the meal. That didnt happen for us thank goodness. A few months in advance I had special ordered a welcome home daddy cake for dh. So when we were sitting at our table the Hawaiian lady told everyone that there was a very special guest there tonight, and then she said he has just come home from Iraq. She came over and kissed my husband on the cheek. Everyone was clapping and cheering. Of course I didnt have my camera ready for a picture cause I had no idea that was about to happen. My husband is pretty shy, but I told him he deserved a hero's homecoming . All through dinner people came up to shake his hand and welcome him home. It was very nice. It was a special dinner and we all enjoyed it. After dinner we caught the ferry from Ohana's to MK and caught the Spectromagic parade. I love that parade, soon as I hear that music start up I get so excited!! All my worries are left behind :) After MK we headed back to POP so we could rest up for the next day. The next days agenda has Grand Adventures of Cooking for Kaylee to do at GF and she also has Alice and Wonderlands tea party and we have MVMCP that night...

lol I don't think my mominlaw posts on here. But she is a travel agent and books disney trips. When we were stationed in Ky there was another soldier that looked so much like my husband it was crazy. They could have been twins. Maybe his mother post's on here lol

Ok so Dec 11 we get up and do the character breakfast at Cape May at the beach club. I really like this meal. We all ended up liking it so much we ended up going another time on this trip. Kaylee dressed up as Alice in Wonderland . After breakfast we headed over to the GF for the adventures in cooking class. Kaylee had so much fun at it. They decorated an apron and a chef hat they each were able to keep. The decorated strawberry shortcake and then passed it out to people in the lobby of GF. It was so cute. After that we ate a quick lunch at the counter service resteraunt at GF then it was time for the wonderland tea party at GF. It was very cute. Each girl decorated their own cupcake and they played games. When we picked her up she had a bouquet of flowers for me and a card with a pic of her with Alice and Mad Hatter. She really enjoyed herself. While she was in there dh and I walked the grounds and relaxed. It was nice to have some time just us. When Kaylee was done we went and rested before MVMCP. When we got there the first place we went was to meet Belle and the Beast. It was so exciting to see them both together and for Belle to be wearing a fancy dress. During this trip we came across more characters then ever, I guess cause it was the Holiday time but it was awesome. We really enjoyed ourselves at the party. It was suppose to be a sold out night, but it was still easy to get around and do stuff. I hope to do this party again next year too.

Your DD is so adorable!

And I had tears in my eyes when I saw your DH's welcome home cake... I am so glad you had a good time!

Dec 12th, our 12 year wedding anniversary. We start off with breakfast at Crystal Palace. They made us a cute heart out of confetti on our table. We enjoyed our breakfast and we saw the waitress from our last trip that gave us a magical moment when dh was home on R&R. She gave me and dh a hug. It was nice to see her again and to be able to thank her again. After that we headed over to the castle and caught the castle show. Then we walked into tinks treasures, when we walked out we were walking around the side of the castle and came upon Cinderellas step sisters. They were so funny, they were so in character and being sarcastic. After that we went to Kaylees BBB appt at the castle. It was neat in there. Her FGIT name was Julie and she was super nice.Kaylee loved being pampered and dh and I really enjoyed watching her transformation into a princess. After the makeover we went to CRT for lunch. We had a nice lunch and then when we left we came across Jake Sparrow, there was no one else around just us so that was cool. He spent alot of time with Kaylee. I was amazed we saw him and that there wasnt another soul around. After that we went to Belles story time and dh was picked to go on stage to play beast. It was so funny cause my dh is a shy quiet person. He did a great job as beast. I was pretty impressed lol Kaylee got such a kick out of it. So on our anniversary my dh danced with another woman. A princess no less!! lol We spent the rest of the evening riding rides and finally headed back to the hotel when we were all pooped. It was a wonderful anniversary being together as a family at the most magical place on earth.
Will add pics in just a bit

Ok going to add the pics that go with the previous post. Will add the rest that go with this day tomorrow.

Well I am debating on continuing my TR right now. Theres not many people reading it, I know I am not really an entertaining writer lol pictures are my thing. I am more visual so I use pics to tell more of the story. Anyway, I see no point in doing a TR thats boring lol so I am not sure if I will continue.. We did have a wonderful trip and expierenced alot of magic as we do everytime we go to WDW so thats all that matters:)

If you don't mind, how much did the Alice in Wonderland tea party cost? That looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Hi, my dd had alot of fun at the teaparty. It was 28.99 or right around that amount. It was def worth it.

I am really enjoying your trip report. It is so wonderful to see all the things you have done with your daughter. I only have 2 grown boys - almost 21, and 19 and I never got the opportunity to do any of these things with the boys - we only took them for the first time in 2006.

I enjoyed hearing about the tea party and seeing the food. I also didn't even know they had a cooking event at the Grand Floridian for the kids. That looked like so much fun.

I bet this trip will be a great memory for you, DH and your daughter forever.

Please continue and thanks for sharing this and I didn't find it boring at all!!!!

And tell your DH I said thanks for serving! I have a nephew and his wife who have also served time in Iraq. I am so glad he was able to come home to you and your daughter and extended family safely. It is really a daily worry while they are away!
