Finally did it!!!

We can now say we're 100% CC debt free!!

We've had a balance on our CC since before we got married (celebrated our 10th anni. on 5/29), but we just paid the last payment,

I have no idea really how we did it... since we got back from Disney in December, I opened up our first savings acct.. started putting money in there each time we had any extra... then whenever a CC bill came, used some of the savings to pay it down majorly. But we haven't really cut back on anything... if anything, been spending more, lol.. I just put in a waterfall in our backyard, and dh just ordered a chicken coop (he's insistent he wants chickens, lol).

Just wish I would've thought to do this years ago,

Since January 1st of this year, I have paid $3985.28 on one Visa CC, and have paid 6504.31 on our Disney Visa Card.

We had stopped using the 1st CC about 5 yrs ago, and had been slowly paying it down... but the Disney one had some of our vacation on it (0% interest), and some other kinda major purchases.

I think what I'm gonna do now is lock up the Disney one in our firebox, so we have it in case of emergencies.. but vowing never to use a CC again... we have about $700 in savings, and that'll be building up now that we don't have CC payments, so anything kinda major should be able to be taken care of without using it.

Just had to share, I'm ecstatic we've finally done it!!

We're about 18 months away. But I've been saying "18 months away" for 4 years now. But with DH's truck almost paid off, reall this time, it should be about 18 months or so, since his quite large truck payment will go straight towards the CC's once it's finally paid off.
