Finally decided=POFQ.....for Aug. stay

We have been going back and forth for the past 2 weeks about were to stay during our upcoming visit to WDW (Aug. 21-28)....debating between:

Pop Century
PO French Quarter
Contemporary-Garden

After searching and reading and pricing everything...We (even the kids agreed ages 9 & 4....showed them photos of the pool) for PO FQ...have stayed there once before the renovations and loved the atmosphere and services.

How did we do????

Any thoughts on room requests....the package we are looking at is for a Water/Pool view room and we are also doing the DMPkg with Prince/Princess Add-on.

Is there a specific building or section to request?

I know you can also use the services at Riverside.....food court, pools, etc....is it worth going over there?

Its funny because I've posted a few things about POFQ too and I have gotten really no answers at all!! I don't know why...people rave on and on about the resort but I can't get anyone to answer my questions either!

We decided on POFQ too...I think you made a good choice as well. We are getting a king room, but we are requesting to be off on one of the side buildings...not near the pool. With kids I would request to be near the pool! I bet they'll get great use out of it!

We had one of our meals at Riverside when we stayed at POFQ. It was a nice walk, and we enjoyed the change in food courts for an evening meal. As far as location for POFQ it is a small resort. I can't remember what building we stayed at but it was one building before what would be considered pool view. We were facing the pool area just not quite the pool area, yet. We were between the pool and the foodcourt area. Whatever you decide, remember that POFQ is a small resort and everything is very close! Both of my children loved the themed pool!
