Finally decided on POP Dec 9-12

Just called and despite my worrying that with POP Warner/teddy bear convention, MOusefest etc that nothing would be available I got POP Dec9-12 for $49/night Fla res rate. It was between POP and POFQ. Really wanted POFQ (well really WL but that is another story) but decided that the extra $100 in cost would be better served elsewhere. Who else will be there? Was POP open last Christmas? Does anyone have christmas decorations pictures fromPOP?

I read it here on the boards that there is some big teddybear collectors convention that had been postponed due to Charley that was being rescheduled for the week before or during POP Warner.

We'll be there too--from the 6th to the 12th (DS and his family will be there through the 13th, but we're cruising on 12/12).

This will be our second stay at POP. We were there for three nights last December, starting with opening day. We had a great time! I can't wait to go back.

I have not bought the tix yet but yes I am planning on taking DH and DD5 for the first time (for them). Actually,the whole trip will be a surprise for both of them. DD will love it but DH is not a disney person so it could be iffy with him. I figure with the promise of magical, amazed awe from DD at the party then DH will get in line. I checked today and they are still available for the 9th and 10th but I think the 9th will be better than friday. Are you guys also going the 9th?
Delswife will your whole family be able to make it.? I hope so!

Heads up, Buz gave Commando Nikki an airhorn.

Right now, it looks like everyone in my family except Nikki will be there for the party. I don't think she will be there until the 15th but we don't know for sure yet.

It is weird a little here for me. I read all your reports. It is sorta like you are a celebrity. I am happy for you that your family will all be there and am crossing my fingers for Commando Nikki. An airhorn? really? My 5 year old would love that. See you there.

Have any of you guys found POP to be noisy? This will be the 3rd time this year we have stayed there and each time it seemed louder. DH isn't a huge WDW fan and I am hoping that this won't turn him off. Other than that I love PC.

We'll also be at Pop Century Dec 8-12!!! This is our second stay there (we did a split stay with Pop Century and Wilderness Lodge in July)!!! We loved it and can't wait to go back!!!

We are going to be REALLY hard to miss on the 9th. There is a very large group of us going that include the Zurgs.

We recently got a chance to spend the day with the Zurgs at a caravan party. Canavan parties are only a tiny bit calmer than a biker party. We met Daisy Debbie, Towncrier, Brisully, Asfcurly, Mattsmom & Buzz. There were some surprise guests too.

There was direction confusion, colorful hair, cats on a leash.

Cats on a leash are nothing like soap on a rope. Try not to confuse them.

Anyway, I did recieve a grasshopper crown and we had a great time. Lots of laughs. I think the 9th is going to be memorable.

I can't wait to get to Pop!

It really does sound like you guys have a great and crazy time. I just found out today that some friends of ours are going to be at POP at the same time. We have now coordinated our ressies but I am worried about DH. He Hates! traveling in groups beyond me and DD. He grumbles everytime we have to hurry to meet someone, wait for someone etc. (the only way this news could be worse for him is if it was his family visiting with us ) I really did not plan it but when they found out we would be there... I am hoping that DH finds his magic this trip. I can't decide whether to show him Delswife trip reports of if that would scare him off completly on group trips.LOL

On happier note, went to the Disney character warehouse down here and got flashing Donal christmas pins, logo sweatshoirts and eyeore ears/ligtup antlers. I won't make him were the antlers or pins but I am determined to show him how much fun DD and I find all of this. So if any of you see a crazy mom and DD5 with Eyeore light up antler ears with grumpy tagging along at POP or the party, that is us so say hi.
