FINALLY COMPLETE! 10/3/2010- But Why is the Rum Gone? Disneyween 2007

The free food is awesome and the AKL is not bad either. I am contemplating staying there on my next trip if I can't get into the WL.

I just got off the phone with them and they had POP for the times that I'm going...BUT turns out that my AAA discount is better than the AP even with the dining gift certificate. Do you have AAA that you could try? that may be cheaper for you guys. It was about $40 cheaper for me.

I'm so excited reading all your entrys today this is like the disboards blog-a-thon. :cool1:

Whew, Crystal you wore me out...........:rotfl:
At least you have some "tentative" plans for where you will be staying. That makes me feel much better.
Now get to work on some ADR's girl. :lmao:

Even having tentative plans makes me feel better, too!

I've been thinking about the whole All Star Sports thing, and wondering if I'd give up te $20 free dining card to stay at a different value resort. We had planned on Pop- tie-dye cheesecake, twister on the lawn, and hippy dippy pools! Such fun! If we can't get Pop, I'd be thrilled with ASMu- my favorite value. I love the Broadway building, and the Jazz guy that changes colors at night. I've gotten in such a habit of staying at ASMu my first night that seeing that neon guy playing a sax has become my "wow, I'm really here!" moment. Sadly, I just can't see myself getting sentimental about giant football helmets in the same way!

It's only for two nights, and think of the grilled cheeses and Kungalooshes $20 will get you. :)

Ah, how well you know me!

We were THRILLED to learn that the certificates were good for alcohol, too, btw! Those $8 Kungalooshes add up fast!

Send me Hathaway and keep the kid. :rotfl:

Hmm, not sure if a room is good enough to give up Hathaway for! I suppose it depends on which Hathaway it is! ;)

On the semi-trip related apartment search, I made a complete idiot of myself today. (There's something new!) I was trying to contact an apartment complex via a website form, but when I pushed Enter to skip a line after my greeting, it sent the message! Sadly, my brain is so trained to push enter, that I sent them FOUR messages that just said "Hello!" before I managed to remember NOT to push enter! They must think I'm a VERY friendly freak!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: oooooh man!

Congrats on the ressies! Aren't you glad the AP rates finally came out??? I have been waiting on the edge of my seat, like you.

I tried for WL but there was nothing available. It must really be getting popular these days! There was AKL for $145/night which is awesome (my dates are during Value season in December) but there wasn't availablility for all my dates. There was availability for part of my dates but since we are only there for 5 nights, I really did not want to spend the time moving resorts. However, we are going to have to check out and check back in, b/c we did two ressies at POR so we could get the $50 gift card (was only available if you check in the 9th or after and we check in the 6th).

Anyway, good luck on getting any changes you want if you decide to try!

If I were you, i'd probably keep the All Star Sports reservation cause of the Dining Card, but only because you can go to Pop and eat the cheescake and walk around anyway - and it'll be free cause of the card! Technically, you can't swim in the Hippy Dippy Pool, but I won't tell anyone if you do!

Oooh, lucky you with value season! This is my first time going during regular season since 2001, so I'm experiencing some major sticker shock!! Standard View at AKL/WL is supposed to be $140, not $200! I'm still a little spoiled from back in the day when I got AKL savannah for $124. But then, of course, we walked uphill in the snow for miles...

Sadly, with Kelly's limited days off, I doubt we'll have much time off for exploring resorts other than our own! I've gotten so used to having all the time in the world there that it's hard to figure out how to smush everything I want her to experience into just a few days!

She will be back to work in a few days :teacher: so hopefully we'll have a definite schedule soon!

I will be trying to scrunch it all in, as well. Being a teacher, too, I could only take 3 personal days, so we are taking off in the afternoon (driving from GA) after I get off work. We'll arrive late on a Thursday, be in the parks Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon, and then get up Tues and maybe hit the parks for a few hours then drive back home and I am up bright and early at work on Wednesday. My DM, on the other hand, is taking off 5 days (Thurs - Wed)!

We picked December b/c we like the decorations, but I am doing October next year (along with end of May/beginning of June 2008). Can you say AP...whoo hoo!

It all feels a little more real, more tangible now that we finally have our resorts booked (even though those reservations are likely to change). We're getting close to that final pre-trip stretch.

There are so many things I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to pack. I can't wait for that last night before the trip, trying in vain to fall asleep, but being way too excited to stay in bed. I'm even looking forward to the mental crazyness I know will come a few days before the trip, when I decide that I have WAY more planning that hasn't been done, and how has this trip crept up so fast without giving me time to prepare? :rotfl2: No matter how much I plan, that day always comes, and I freak out. But then, eventually, all is well.

I'm looking forward to this time next month, when costume shops will start to pop up in anticipation of Halloween, and I'll be able to shop around for elements that will make my costume come together, not to mention a few fun room decorations and goodies for the trip.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow, when I'm finally hitting the brand new, just opened, 3000 sq ft Crocs store in the city where I work. I'm not looking forward to the number I'm sure will appear on the reciept! :scared:

I'm looking forward to seeing Katie and Kelly. They'e amazing people, and I don't see them anywhere near often enough!

I'm looking forward to the end of our first day of our trip, full of that wonderful exhaustion, standing near the lagoon at Epcot, torch lights reflected on the water, waiting for the whispered breath that will extinguish the light. To the drum beats that lead up to that first firework shooting across the sky. To closing my eyes at that moment, drinking it all in, and knowing, at last, that we are there.

In just over a week, we will only have two months to go!

I'm looking forward to it as well, because although i won't get to go to WDW this fall, your fantastic pictures and wonderful stories will make me feel like I'm there too!
In the meantime I will wait to see what crocs you end up with. Since my caymans fell victim to reality TV, I snuck out during my lunch break last week and picked up a black pair of the mary janes. they are awesome!

So jealous of your crocs store. I would have to get a part time job there. Wish we had one around here. I have to settle for small selections at local stores.
