FINALLY COMPLETE! 10/3/2010- But Why is the Rum Gone? Disneyween 2007

I've missed your updates! I'm anxious to read a "Big Adventure" update soon too! In response to the Disneyween update though:

1. I assure you, my hair would have been much frizzier. I look extremely sexy in humid weather.

2. Animal Kingdom is my favorite too, I think! I'm fickle like you though....well maybe it's a tie between Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom!

Crystal  Yeah for an update. I have been reading your blog too so I get some Crystal updates there (I hope I don't sound like a stalker) anyway. I love AK too. I'm animal lover so I guess that's why. I once had a humpback whale that I supported, Go Patches. I had a picture of him too that I used to keep in bedroom anyway, enough about me yeah for you. What languages do you speak? Just curious

I have an elephant in Thailand named Max ;)

I should point out that all of my languages are spoken VERY BADLY. I can sort of get ideas across in French & Spanish, but the rest (Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Swahili, Hindi, Arabic, German) I just know a handful of phrases that come in handy- hello, thank you, do you understand, two beers please, etc.

My current linguistic goal is to learn to say "no bumping" and "push the pedal to go" in at least a dozen handy languages ;)

Thanks for the update Crystal!! I love all your pictures and my last trip to DAK definatly made the park move up on my favorites list. It's one of those great parks that you can go to solo and just look around and explore and not feel left out, like at MK when everyone is with a family.

By the way I have been following your blog and man oh man I couldnt believe that guy dropping off your car! In the worst possible place...glad it turned up safe though!

After seeing you move down there I have decided that when I'm down in May I'm heading to casting to talk about a DCL job! You have inspired me to go ahead and follow my Disney dream . Thanks!

I always love trying out my Mandarin skills when hitting WDW. I pity the poor CMs that I may stumble upon, but if there's a China home listed on a nametag, I usually test out my conversation skills. Most of the time it's just for ordering food and drink at the China Pavillion in Epcot, but I had a fun experience at Disney Studios on Halloween. I'm pretty sure the CM just came over to the US on the College Program, and she said she was very homesick and looked flustered. I think her English was about as good as my Mandarin. But between the two languages we managed to have an interesting conversation on Chinese vs US culture ... at least I think that's what we were talking about :confused3 :thumbsup2 In any event, it seemed to cheer her up a bit.

Yeah for an update... and getting internet... and 26 hours working in the MK in 2 days!!!

I still haven't decided if I'm more jealous of you or happy for you... ;) OK, we'll go happy... but only because of the fact that next year I join you as a Floridian!

Great update! I looked for in tomorrowland but never saw you. I was at WDW from 29th until yesterday. Hope you are loving FL and working for the Mouse :D

so you'll still be there in August, right? I think that's when I'll be able to make my 2008 WDW trip. I may have to try and bump it up if you are leaving sooner! :scratchin

:yay: a Crystal update. A rainy day in AK is better than a sunny day at home.

P.S. Was the training for your job really cool...I mean like Disney traditions etc???????

We keep talking about making the move too. It comes up about every 6 months. There are lots of jobs at Disney my husband would be qualified for...he's an accountant/banker. I am a nurse however & not so many Disney jobs for me.....but I could work at Celebration hospital so that would be close.

Or you could work at ORMC with me! :thumbsup2

Hi Crystal.. wow, I haven't posted on here for awhile but I love all your trip reports. I moved myself and didn't have internet, and THEN my computer was attacked by a virus but... who cares, anyway I'm all caught up now and I love this report - just wanted to give you some kudos! You crack me up.. I love your frizzy hair, wal mart poncho, wet socks HOT pose in front of the tree, haha. I loved all your pirate costumes... Katie cracked me up with her costume plus her princess theme. Y'all are so funny.

I can't believe you just moved to Florida! That is amazing, congratulations! You made it look really easy. I love how you just up and went. Rock and rollllllllll.

Oh and one question: What happened to Snape? Did you forget him? I have another theory... Alan Rickman FINALLY called you back and you had a sensational and steamy affair at WDW but couldn't tell any of us because he wanted to keep his private life private, and so there was no need for a tiny Snape doll being that you had the real thing. I know i'm right.

Finally going through all the holiday pics on my digital camera, and the Halloween pics reminded me to check this thread ... guess what? no updates for a while! I figured I'd bump this for an eventual trip update.

Oh ... I also figured I'd add one of the pics I came across this morning, as it sort of fits the theme:

This would be me (in the scrubs) with Papa Brocktoon (as Gorton's Fisherman) right before we headed out to the Adventurer's Club on 10/31. I know there were some other DISers around the AC that night. NOTE: This pic was also taken after 5 hours of drinking aroound the world in EPCOT (and much more to follow at the AC)

I did my part ... now for some TR updates. Especially curious about the casting process

Hi Crystal,
I enjoy reading your trip reports and I just found your blog. What a Big Adventure! I just have to say that it's people like you that make DisneyWorld great (after Walt of course).

It took a lot of effort on your part to move to Florida and work at DisneyWorld. I hope visitors to WDW and the Disney executives appreciate you.

It just shines through how much you love Disney and appreciate being there.

Keep up the good work. We'll watch for you at Disney, but if we don't see you we'll give our thanks to other CMs that we meet.

Nora

Hey guys!

I am sitting here with hairdye on my head, and thought I'd use these few spare minutes to update the report!

We're up to October 30th- yay! The only bad news is that I can't find my notebook that has all of my notes from the trip, so I'm going to wing it a little on this part, just for the sake of moving along in the report, and mostly just post pictures from the day with some commentary. If I discover, when I actually find my notebook, that I left anything good out, I'll let you know!

I started the morning out at Magic Kingdom, which was al decorated for Halloween:

On Main St, I passed by my favorite sign:

I found this little frog band inside Crystal Arts, and thought they were super cute:

Now I'm at my photo limit, and I need to go get ready to head out to the Adv Club for the Hoopla!, so I'm calling it a night! I promise to try to finish the 30th soon! :)
