Kath, I have been thinking about you and Wilgus a lot lately. Save his set back, I am so glad to hear the good news!!! And get those thoughts of you being a bad wife out of your head. You need your rest as well. And as was said, I know if you thought they would wake him up, you would've been there. That nurse should've informed you (IMO) before she did it. Or at least mentioned it before you went home. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers
Oh Katholyn, such an ordeal you have both been through. Remember, we are there with you in spirit, all of the Dis, standing in thought and prayer for a full and speedy recovery. Thanks for keeping us updated.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO No you are not! It's perfectly fine to feel badly that you were not there when he woke up, but never in a million years are you allowed to call yourself a bad wife.
When my dad had his surgery last month, my mom came home until he was in recovery. Everyone has to do what feels right to them. You DESPERATELY needed some rest.
Now that my lecture is done I will say that I am still thinking of you, and his prognosis sounds so good. The bed rest is a temporary setback, and I still feel that he is going to be just fine.
Good to hear the surgery part is complete now, Kath, and that Wilgus will be moving on to his next step of recovery. Both of you remain in my prayers. May the blessings of the Christmas time be with him and you both.
More prayers and hugs coming your way. May it give you some comfort to know that your many DIS friends are pulling for you and your DH during this difficult time.
Hang in there! The power of prayer is mighty force.
