Finally booked! Luggage question

So my boyfriend and I finally booked our stay at the Dolphin for mid to end of May! We are flying in the 23rd but the Dolphin has no available rooms for that date. I'm thinking this might be an advantage because we can book a room at an official resort and get Magical Express to the hotel.

The question I have is will Disney transfer our luggage from a resort (such as POR) to the Dolphin? I've read many different responses...has anyone done this recently?

You will need to do the transfer yourself. A cab from POR should be to costly ... less than $20
