I managed to get breakfast at the castle :woohoo: !! The ADR is for 8:50 am and the park opens at 9:00. I am very excited about getting in early so we can get some great pictures in front of the castle. I also got a ADR at the Character Breakfast in the AK at 8:10 am and the park doesn't open until 9:00 am.
My questions are 1. What is the best way to get to the AK that early from the ASM? They told me that the buses will not be running early enough for me to get there on time. I guess we would have to take a taxi?
2. How early should we get there?. Will they let us in 20-30 minutes before the ADR time?
3. The AK opens at 9 am so if we eat fast enough we might be done before that. Can we leave the restaurant early and get in line at EE before the park opens?

Thanks so much!!!
Shellie

I am not sure about the busses. You only need to arrive a few mins early. They will only let people in begining at 8 am so arrivng 30 min early wont do much for you. You will not be allowed to go get in line for any attractions if you finish early. The other sections of the park will be roped off.

That is totally incorrect info.

The buses run VERY early EVERY morning. You will have no trouble getting there, especially from All Star... the bus ride is about 6 minutes.

They will let you in as early as the restaurant is operating.
If you get there before your ADR time and there are tables, you'll get to be seated early.
Remember, the bus-ride will be pretty short, but it might take 10-15 minutes BETWEEN buses arriving at All Star to pick you up, so plan accordingly.

You will be "held" until the "Rope Drop Ceremony" is completed (its over at exactly "opening time") and then the CMs will "escort" the main crowd back to Sarafi (on one side) and EE (on the other).
Likely, if you were standing in the area between Restaurantosaurus and EE, you'd be allowed to either "join the group" or be allowed to "sprint over on your own", but not much before anyone else. Either way, you'd have a VERY short wait to ride EE.

(I'll be doing just this very thing next week, myself!)

Thanks so much! I'm so excited about the trip, I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait until September!

Also, thank you to everyone on this board. I don't really post much (as you can see) but I read the board almost everyday. I have gotten so much information here and love reading your stories and seeing your wonderful pictures! :grouphug:

What Robo wrote is what I have read as well. The busses run early to accommodate early breakfast diners. The CMs at the gates have a list of ADRs so you must check in with them.

The buses generally start running about 7:30am. It may give you enough time to get there, but you may have to drive (if you have a car) or get a ride.

They usually do not let you in until about 10-15 minutes before your reservation time.

The buses run to accommondate the early Character Breakfasts, once at the park, when the resturant is ready, you will be let in according to your ADR and escorted to the Breakfast. If you are finished eating prior to the park opening, you'll be waiting to get in until the rope drop at opening time.

Simply not true about the buses.

The buses run starting well before 7am every single day.

The DAK parking lot is one of the last to open of all the parks.
Drivng is not recommended.
