Hi everyone

We are finally on the right side of the year to make our countdown look better!!

DD was in charge of our itinerary as it is for her year 12 graduation. Around this time last year we put the idea out there that she could choose to go on a holiday instead of going to schoolies, and thank goodness she chose the holiday option. Not sure my heart would have held it together if she'd chosen schoolies

On this trip will be the whole fam bam which is, myself, dh, dd 17, ds 14, ds 10 & dd 6.

Here is our final itinerary (please let it be our final itinerary!):

Sunday 22nd November - fly Bris-LA-Orlando, private transfer to Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal.
Mon, Tues & Wed 23rd-25th - both Universal parks.
Thursday 26th (Thanksgiving) - Shopping/relaxing day.
Friday 27th - Kennedy Space Centre.
Saturday 28th - drive to Miami, staying one night at the Embassy Suites, paid for using Hilton Honors points yay :cheer2:
Sunday 29th - Friday 4th - 5 night Disney Magic cruise, western caribbean, Cozumel & Castaway Cay.
Friday 4th - drive back to Orlando (maybe via Sawgrass Mills), 5 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter, 4 day non hopper WDW passes
Saturday 5th - Animal Kingdom
Sunday 6th - Magic Kingdom
Monday 7th - Epcot
Tuesday 8th - Hollywood Studios
Wednesday 9th - fly from Orlando to LA, private transfer to the Camelot Inn & Suites Anaheim for 5 nights. 5 day hopper passes to DLR.
Thurs, Fri, Sat & most of Sun - enjoy both parks.
Sunday 13th fly home LA-Brisbane 11:05pm

It's going to be completely crazy but fun at the same time! We haven't been to Orlando since 2011, can't wait!

Great trip! Be interested to hear about the Magic.

I'm thinking it could be the makings of my first TR! I am hopeless at taking notes but take thousands of photos so surely could muddle my way through?! :)

So I've just made some more changes!

Dining came up for Fantasmic on Monday 7th (which was our original preferred day but there wasn't anything available last week) so we will now to HS on the 7th with dinner at The Hollywood Brown Derby at 5:40pm and Fantasmic at 8:30pm.
AK still on the 5th, EP on the 6th, and MK on the 8th, which will work our better as we can have an earlier night before flying out the next morning as MK closes at 7pm for the MVMCP.
We've also got Fulton's booked for our first nights dinner on the 4th, then I think we'll wing it the rest of the nights, most likely the POFQ POR food courts!

Sounds great. We took DD to WDW for her graduation more or less instead of schoolies (she still had a week at the sunnie coast with her best friend just chilling by the beach in a beach house belonging to one of our friends but back then the Sunnie Coast didn't do any "activities" and they didn't want a part of that- just sleeping in with sand and sea time). In her case it was a surprise trip - she knew we were taking her somewhere but it was a complete surprise where. We all had a ball especially with all the Xmas overlay (the motivation for the trip as her favourite Xmas memory had been Xmas with rellies in England when she was 6 but a trip to the UK was too far and too long-WDW delivered in every way!) Now Universal would be added because of the HP factor.

We live on the sunnie coast!! They still don't do planned schoolies activities for the kids, they have to go to the gold coast or brisbane! Our dd is planning a week away with her friends in January instead, when all of the schoolies and christmas craziness has died down.

Sounds like another sensible DD! You will have a great US trip! We really liked POFQ on our most recent trip though I had intended to explore Riverside and never found time. We liked the smallness and quietness of POFQ and the decor of the resort and we had a ball at Universal (DD missed out coming this trip to her annoyance - she still trips with us when she can). I also enjoyed KSC more than I thought I would and of course WDW is great. I liked all the new areas since our last visit.
