FINALLY...a trip report-WE ARE HERE!!! :)

We arrived yesterday and are soooo excited to be here!!!

The Fort looks maybe half full. They have several of the loops on Fort Wilderness Trail closed , 900-1100 I think and only 2 campers in 700. They are repaving it and we think that is why the loops are empty. We are in loop 100 and love it!

Listening to Wishes as we speak and I am just so thankful to be here! With all my families health problems, we were not sure we would make it. We are just glad to be away from home, but then again, coming here feels like coming home!

We couldn't believe the parking prices for MK as we came through on the way to the campground! Soooo glad we stay on site AND have AP's! I think the prices have almost doubled! As for online check-in...IMHO and based on my experience it is for the birds. It didn't save us any time and they only had one lane open with 5+ campers in front of us. They opened some lanes after we got in line behind everyone but I still don't think it saves time to do online check-in.

They gave us 207 but I asked to move to 100 and happily they gave us 105! It is a wonderful site! I will post pics(see below) later. I put up my Dis sign but unfortunately I didn't have time to print them in color. It looked so cool(Thanks Rog!) and the B&W doesn't do it justice.

After we got set up, we went to MK to get my sweet 15yo daughter's birthday gift card and shopped then crashed! Today we went to MK and it was not too crowded. We got there around 11 and left 4. We rode Buzz, TTA, did Laugh Floor and Carousel. We ate at Cosmic Ray's and then had a pretty bad rain shower. After waiting that out, we rode the Barnstormer, did some shopping and rode the train to the front. We watched the parade and went back to rest and cook some shrimp on the barbie. Had a great day and can't wait for tomorrow!

I will try to post pictures this week when we buy internet so I could really use some help on posting them. I don't remember how and am too lazy to look it up. Anyone want to help me out with this since I am now 6 Disney trips behind on my trip reports since joining the Disboards? I don't want to wait on this one.

OK, you need to get a photobucket account. www.photobucket.com

It's free. You can then download the pictures to photobucket. Once they are on photobucket, you then copy the "image" link on each of the pictures into your post, then write your words.

I just love riding the boats! I would miss that most of all if we didn't stay at the Fort.

Is the construction part of the new Fantasyland? Or is it in Tomorrowland?

They are refurbishing Space Mtn. and the bathrooms and area around it.

How long will you all be there? I was just at the Fort for a quick visit last week, and it doesn't look like I will have a chance to get back until maybe late next week.

How full is the 100 loop? We will be there later this week...we are currently booked in as a premium and requested the 400 loop, but I really want to try 100. Maybe they will let us stay in a preferred site even though we payed for a premium?!

Not trying to hijack the great thread, but thought we would answer a couple questions. We checked in Sunday and are in 320. The construction in the Magic Kingdom is Space Mountain and tearing down the old skyway building I think. The paving is at the Fort. As for openings at the Fort, it is very light here. The front loops (100, 200, 300, etc) are probably 80% full. The other open loops are maybe 50 - 60%. There are several loops closed for the road paving. I wish the light crowds at the Fort translated to less people on the bus. Disney must have really cut the buses running with the light crowds. The bus to and from Epcot yesterday was a long wait and more than standing room ( had to leave people behind). Still nice being here!

We are in 100 and 100-300 look 95% full. We just saw Dr. Dan pulling into his site in 200 and the camper looks AWESOME!!! Can't wait to go check it out! The busses are terrible as usual so we drive to the parks and only take the internal busses for the store, etc. We drive to all the parks except MK...saves more time than you can imagine!

We have stayed in 400 but we really like being in 100. For the price difference I say it is not worth paying more for a premium but if you want the pavement, newer table and grill cover, go for it!

I will wait until he sets up and see if he minds if I take some pics and post them on here! It sure is a BIG travel trailer! I couldn't believe how long it is!?! It is in very good condition on the outside, so shiny and new looking!

Well, gotta go to the pool and snoop around so I can earn my badge! I will post pics of our day later and maybe of the cool trailer!
