We've always done some last minute Disney trips when discounts were already published. This is the first time we've planned 8 months out. I found it really stressful, not knowing what we'd be able to afford. Relief washed over me when we were able to make those final decisions.
Thanks to Disney extending the Military Salute, we were able to finalize our plans and stay at our dream resort - The Beach Club. We gave up the dining plan and will just pay as we go, but it was worth the trade. (Besides, we'll be more likely to pass on some desserts and guard our waist lines
) Our ADR's are made, we purchased our MNSSHP party and TTDP tickets, and booked our flights. 
Thank you all for your help and advice. Without you, we would have missed out on so many opportunities that we'll enjoy. This will be a special time for our family thanks to you. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate your willingness to share your experience!
