Final Weekend w/o inlaws?

My wife, 11 year old daughter and I will be staying at OKW in a 2BR from a Saturday-Friday. We will be joined during this time by my in-laws.

My in-laws will be leaving Friday morning and we plan to stay an additional 2 nights in a Studio. Given your choice...would you stay at OKW or move to another DVC Resort? Why?

It depends--do you have enough pts to stay put? If you do, then I would stay, provided you have nothing else to do with the pts. If I can scratch out another vacation with the left-over pts, then I would move to a smaller unit. Or, I would stay put, but pay cash. Usually, I opt to move, and then use the remaining pts for another vacation during the year.

If you could swing it, move to a one bedroom and see if you can stay put in the same villa. Just lock off that 2nd bedroom. I'd hate to move down to a studio anywhere after five nights in an OKW two bedroom. You'll feel like you must moved to a closet.

Me personally? I wouldn't stay in any DVC studio on Fri/Sat nights. I'd rather pay cash and stay at a non-DVC resort and save the points.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough points to stay put in the 2BR Villa. I have points that must be used this trip, but only enough for a studio. The postive thing is...I do have enough to stay in a studio at any of the resorts. I was thinking of moving to BWV (BW view) for those last 2 nights.

I think your plan sounds like the best one considering you have points which *must* be used. Either BWV BW view or BCV (if you think your daughter might enjoy Stormalong Bay). Enjoy!

And then you truly WILL feel like you have moved to a closet! LOL! Sorry, just joking about the "small" studio rooms at BWV. FWIW, if the extra real bed is important to you, I'd likely stay in the OKW studio, but if experiencing a different resort is your plan, then why not change resorts? If you have to move anyway, it really doesn't matter if it's within the same resort or to a different one. Have fun!
