Final payment due date?

I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a weeks extention on their final payment due date? I have had something come up this week and will NOT be able to make my last payment to pay off our trip until a week after it's due. I have hear they cancel it right away? I'm going to call but would like some info on what to expect before I do so.

Also if they won't extend our date and cancel our reservation. I know they've extended free dining and I can still get what we have but my only thought is all my ADR's. They are all linked to our ressie #. Will I loose all of them too? :scared1:TIA
 
I have never had to do that but I bet they will. It is only a week. Good luck and let us know what they say.
 
I just paid off my balance this morning and my due date was originally scheduled for 7/12...they did not cancel my reservation.
We had a slight medical emergency that forced us having to go into our vacation/savings;therefore, I knew the week before our due date that we were not going top be able to pay it off on time. I was so worried because this was to be a very special trip for us. I just called the reservation dept and explained my whole story and gave them the dates I could make some payments on and the date I would have the balance paid off by. They were very nice about it and said there would not be an automatic cancelation (that someone would call me before that would even be considered); but, that this happens alot and as long as the guest communicates with them and is making some kind of payment on the reservation, they usually do not cancel and will work with you.
So, do not panic. Just give them a call and explain. One week after the date is not bad. They should understand (we're all in tough times these days); just let them know you're payment plan so they can note it on your file.

Oh thank you so much. I feel so much better now. I normally make our trips a surprise for DD just in case something happens and we can't go. Firm believer in if I say we're doing it... We're doing it. I will give them a call and talk w/ them then. Thanks again and glad it worked out for you.
