FInal INvoice! Does Deposit apply...??

DH and I had our amazing DFTW on May 6th everything was perfect we are so happy everyone loved evertyhing! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the weather was unbelievable... it was like 83 sunny and slightly windy enough to not let you sweat! I couldn't be happier!

Now today we received our final invoice for $121 which is pretty good... we thought we'd be owing more with the last minute changes we made! Our question is... are the $1000 from the initial deposit we made already counted towards this or does this come later? Are all $2000 applied to the total??

I would think that if they sent you a final bill, then the deposit would already have been applied and this is what you owe in addition.

BTW: I couldn't agree more about the weather on May 6th!!! It was our wedding day too!

When we got our final invoice we were due a $700 refund because we went over by about $300 on the wedding day. They took the the small balance we had from the $1000 deposit and refunded us the rest.

If they're saying you have a remaining balance of $121 then they already applied the deposit and you need to pay them that amount.

We got the final invoice about a month later and the refund about a week after that. We used a credit card to pay the final bill and they refunded the deposit back to the credit card even though I initially paid the deposit with a check.
