Final Choice

I keep hearing about the great service on Disney - but I haven't always felt it.
There have been few exceptional moments, but I also experience a lot of staff looking at me weird or being huffy because we don't have kids... like there's something wrong with us being there without them.
My kids spent many hours in the kids club and DH and I often split up at night or during nap time where one adult had free time by themselves. Most staff don’t know if you don’t have kids or if they’re just not around.

Yeah, RCCL is def not the boat for us - we're not the active types... not even in our younger days.

I would have to say RCCL. While on the Anthem of the Seas I did enjoy all the ship activities that RCCL offered; virtual skydiving, wave machine, rock climbing, bumper cars, roller skating, etc., which are more family or adult friendly. DCL service and entertainment was far better which are my top priorities when I cruise.

Did you never get the questions about whether your kids were enjoying the trip? That's when we usually get it - they ask and we tell them we don't have kids. I've even had one go so far as to ask me why I wasn't on a different cruise if I didn't have kids.

Sounds like you are leaning towards trying a new line. I say go for the NCL this trip to see if it's a better fit. And if it's not, go back to DCL for the next cruise.

I'd go with The Haven because it's one of the things I've always wanted to try. I also like the idea of the itinerary. Not knocking Mexico, but I live in southern California (have lots of visits to Baja) and while I haven't been to any of the big resort cities, I've never been impressed with visiting Mexico other than the quiet off the beaten path beaches, which won't be where the cruise is going.

It's really going to depend on what you like to do. Honestly, I'd have a really good time on either cruise, but I'm wired to have fun.
