Filming at the Boardwalk

Just returned from our trip. On Friday, Nov.30th, there was quite a large film crew on the Boardwalk, in front of Spoodles. I didn't recognize the girl who appear to be the on-air talent, but when we asked what was going on, we were just told that it was for a show on the cooking channel (Food Network?)

Anyone hear of any new show coming soon that this could possibly be?

What did she look like?

Samantha Brown has been filming a new Christmas special for the TRAVEL Channel.

SB is a Strawberry Blonde who in the past has worn somewhat of a Dorothy Hamil/Jennifer Anniston Bob. She is of average height and weight, but would probably seem really thin in real life. My DH says she has a nice figure, and describes her as "perky".

She has several shows that pop up all the time. Passport to Europe and Great Hotels are some of her older programs. She has done a series on Latin America of late, and has even done some shows on Cruises.

She has done a WDW Christmas, and Great Hotels on Beach Club, Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, and Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are great programs.

I really, really hope Samantha Brown is doing a program about the Boardwalk!

Is there a new Raven Holiday Special? She already filmed one special and the discription sounds a lot like that show, which has been shown for the past few years

The young woman we saw on camera wasn't Samantha Brown - we know her and have Tivoed all her specials. She does have a new one about Holidays at Disney that I believe is premiering on Dec.11th on the Travel Channel.

And it wasn't Raven Simone either - I have a 11yr.old and a 13 yr.old - so I definitely would recognize her also.

At first, I thought it was Gia DeLaurentis(?) from Food Network, but as I got closer, realized it wasn't. She was very pretty and young, but they wouldn't let us linger close enough to listen in. The crew was actually rushing alot of people by because it was starting to drizzle and it looked like they were trying to get this shot done in a hurry. I guess we'll just have to keep our ears open for any more new Dis-related shows!

BTW - The show on Food Network featuring Raven Simone is an old one that has been shown before.

I've never seen the Raven one, DD-12 is so excited about it. We'll be at DW for the dates it will be shown, but I promised her I'd DVR it. I love Food Network and Disney, what a great combination for a special!

I hope someone comes along soon with more information about the filming you saw. My next thought was that it was Gia, since she does those travel type shows, and she's very pretty. Hmm..we'll just have to wait and see!
