HAS ANYONE HAD A PROBLEM WITH FILM BEING EXPOSED WHEN GOING THROUGH SECURITY AIRPORT? OR HAS ANYONE READ ANYTHING TO THAT EFFECT?

THANKS FOR ANY HELP!:bounce:

i inquired about this at our airport , prior to return from Disney last week.

I was told that only film with speeds of 1000 or more would need to be withheld from the xray belts.

I have since devolped my 800 speed film and it is just fine. :D

Our carry on bags held our film, for the camera AND our video camera.

We had 400 speed film, and everything was fine!

22 rolls of film. 3 video tapes and 3 or 4 single use cameras were just fine. We carried all film and cameras in our carry-ons.

Just a point of warning, DO NOT put your film in checked baggage. The new CTX scanner machines that are either in use or being added to most major US airports can fog most film, exposed or not. Personally, I've experienced film damage even at the gate screening-type machines, so I always have my film hand checked!

I was told the same thing, put film in your carry ons not in checked bags. The film can be damaged in the new checked bag x-ray machines. My six rolls were fine.
