Filling Easter Eggs.....

I write clues for them to run all throughout the house and yard. I start with one in the basket (which is usually a little note from the Easter Bunny), which brings them to the next one. At some spots I will put a little treat for them to gather up, as they zip to the next one. I usually have it culminate in a larger prize for both my kids, and try to have them end in the same area, so I can get it on video. Last year the large prize was some games for DS or something like that. It makes it fun for all of us, and the home videos from chasing them about the house are fun to watch later.

Here I'll get you started: Happy Easter my little friend, I hope you are excited. Now it's time to start the hunt, I hope you aren't too tired. I know you want to find some treats, so let's go look where the family eats.

They find the next clue, in the dining room around the table etc....you get the idea.

I LOVE those huge eggs from Hobby Lobby too!! I'm thinking I had better get there this week before they are all gone! ;)

We always put coins in ours, usually 10-50 cents per egg. Then we have lucky eggs with $5 in them. There are 3 grandkids, so there are 6 lucky eggs, with a limit of 2 per child. Our boys usually rack up about $30 each, since we hunt eggs twice;)

I like the idea of the "lucky" eggs with the $5.;)

We use the big eggs that used to hold women's panty hose;) My sister and I have told our mom we might want to hunt the eggs ourselves with the way the economy is going:rotfl:

One year I put a pair of socks in a larger egg. My DD reminded me of it last year when she was doing her egg hunt. She thought the Easter Bunny had lost his mind.

The Easter Bunny left a couple of those pseudo-bras in eggs one year at our house. (the bra looking things for girls with nothing yet which would require a bra). My daughter was quite thrown by that one :rotfl2:

That Easter Bunny is a trouble maker around here - nothing like sweet ole' Santa at all ! ;)

Oohhhh....I like the puzzle idea too. I just need to make sure the eggs stay closed or else we will lose some pieces.

I usually put in some candy, change-bad me takes change out of the Disney fund because I always forget to get more & tell the kids "look more Disney money."

I have done stickers but they end up on everything.

I think I have around 200 or so eggs just for my 3 kids-yes crazy but they have so much fun.
