Filet Mignon or NY Strip at Le Cellier?

I love the fillet - I could cut mine with a fork and it melted in my mouth. It was a fantastic cut and very well prepared.

I love the filet also. It is so tender and the mushroom risotto is very yummy.

Another vote here, for the fillet. As Tricia1972 said, "You can cut it with a fork." My hubby would vote for the NY Strip only because it is larger!:lmao: Although, I think this time I am going to sub the risotto for mash potatos.

DH gets the NY strip, I get the filet (correction, got, when it was the maple one) and it was a win win.

When there in September, I had the filet as did my DH and one of our friends had the NY Strip...we were able to cut all with just a fork--we were all in heaven. I would say go with which ever cut is your favorite.

I hate mushrooms so I have the filet but with the potatoes and demi glace that is usually served with the strip :thumbsup2

I'm a fillet girl...almost anyplace I will order the fillet..

But I love the NY Strip at Le Cellier..way better than their fillet IMHO

The filet is tenderer but the NY Strip at Le Cellier has so much more flavor. I'm torn between them but I think on my next trip I'll have the NY Strip.

We were there last March and normally I'd order the filet. But because it featured dreaded mushrooms I ordered the NY Strip. I was really happy I did. It was very flavorful and it looked better than the filet. Plus, if you have an appetite, it's a larger cut of meat.

Just thinking about the filet right now makes my mouth water. I was afraid that they might overcook it, but it was perfect! I substituted cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto. To die for!

I prefer the texture of the New York Strip. I got the NY Strip with the mushroom risotto.

DH and I always get the Filet just the way it is. I am not a big mushroom fan but I love the risotto
