File size too large...how do I shrink it, so I can post them?

Been using Dis Boards for a while...now I'm ready to post
my photos...went to community photos to post but,
a warning came up: FILE TOO LARGE
How do I downsize them?

The easiest no-brainer way is by uploading them to Photobucket (photobucket.com) and it will automatically resized to 128 kb (or 256 or 512, depending on your user settings). I use Photobucket so I don't have to resize then upload. It's a one-touch solution thingie.

If you are using XP, GO HERE scroll down to image resizer and download it.

I think it is easier to upload directly from your PC. Also I have had photos get slightly distorted when using PB. This way you won't have to upload, download (save), then upload again.

Why do you have to upload, download, and upload again? I never have to do that. Every image I upload automatically resized to the desired file size (not image size) and I just leave them there. True about the ocassional distortion, though.
