DH was with him when they removed life support and said FIL went relatively quickly and peacefully. Surprisingly, DH is handling this really well. He said it was the right decision and has no regrets as to the decision they made on FIL behalf. If anyone has any extra prayers, I'd really appreciate them.

I have no "extra" prayers....but I'll offer one especially for you...your DH and your family!

I'd like you to think about something...if DH....son of the departed can feel as you describe.....then I'd suggest you rejoyce in and find comfort in his reaction....If it was..as it appears...to have been a blessing.....then find comfort in FIL's happiness! As you know....your dear FIL is now in a much improved circumstance!
